Give Sully a 4 year 32 million deal?

I can see a team like the Nets giving him more than 15m/year because they have no choice but to overpay for restricted free agents with highly optimistic contracts if they want to acquire young talent.

He'll get something like 4 years 44 million to 4 years 52 million depending on his body holds up this season.
The guy is looking around at least 10 million a year and that would be underpaying relative to the new cap if he's as good as he is now.

If he manages to play as well as he's been playing this season, for the rest of the season, he'll be looking at 4x $15 million offer sheets by teams like New Jersey.

I can't see another team paying more than that for him. And he is certainly is not a 6 million per year guy.

I'd love to bring back Sully on that type of money, but it's never going to happen. Not after Tristan Thompson's deal.

I would bet anything that a healthy Sully gets more than that this offseason.  Considerably more.  I'd say $10-12 per at minimum.  Teams will have a lot of money to throw around this summer, somebody'll throw some of it at him. 

Heck, Zeller might get $8 per with the market for big men the way it is.

History says he won't stay healthy.  He's lucky he's playing with the Celtics and given limited minutes to play. 
He might get more than $8 million/year, but the team that signs him may regret the move. 

His weight makes him more susceptible to injuries.  And, his back and foot problems along with who knows what else might pop up will continue until the day he retires.  Basketball is a sport that's punishing on the human body.

Sully is definitely going to get 8-12 mil at least.. I see him for sure getting 10.

Hes still a solid rebounder, good passer, and can at least score. He isn't a liability on offense, and his defense has improved. The question is if this can be consistent. If it isn't, then Sully is probably losing 2-4 million.

A max for Sully would be crazy, but if the Hornets or someone else felt like Sullinger is worth it, then yikes!

I still want to keep him.

If Sullinger can at least shed a few more pounds, and be able to stay on the floor with improved conditioning, I would say his ceiling is a Kevin Love lite.

He has a good shooting touch, and good anticipation from grabbing boards.

What was said is that the agent never negotiates a rookie extension which isn't a MAX contract. That's not the same as wanting/demanding a MAX contract during free-agency.

The thing is, restricted free agents often don't get the deals they are looking to get.  I think someone probably takes a chance on him with 10mil/year but he does have some red flags that will undoubtedly scare some teams away.  Between his injury history and his conditioning and weight issues, he might not get the offer his production would suggest he deserves.

He looks like he lost a bit of weight since the season started. Not a lot, but it's a start, I guess. Still not breaking the bank for him, since I feel the chance of dogging it after he gets paid is pretty high.

Sullinger will easily get 10 million a year.  I wouldn't be surprised if he is over 15 million a year.
