I can't see another team paying more than that for him. And he is certainly is not a 6 million per year guy.

Fair deal?

Definitely, but I think he'll get at least $10M/year.

People are way overpaying for young talent these days, and the rising cap next year will only make teams all the more eager to splurge.

Remember every single team (or at least, almost every team) is going to have enough cap space to sign a max guy, so once the top 4 or 5 free agents are off the market you're going to have about 20 teams left over engaging in a huge bidding war for guys like Sully.

Wouldn't surprise me if some team out there goes crazy and offers him a max.  Maybe Charlotte lol sounds like something MJ would do

I would bet anything that a healthy Sully gets more than that this offseason.  Considerably more.  I'd say $10-12 per at minimum.  Teams will have a lot of money to throw around this summer, somebody'll throw some of it at him.

Heck, Zeller might get $8 per with the market for big men the way it is.

I think 4/50 is a lot more likely than 4/32.

If Sullinger continues to play like this he will get offers from other teams. With how much cap space teams have open and how weak the free agent class is there is no way he signs for 4/32.

When you say Sully doesn't deserve 6m a year, that's when I know you will think anything is overpaying. His play every season is worth at least 10m given what other people get. Give him weight clauses or amount of games played bonuses but don't tell me Sully isn't worth 6m a year.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I expect he'll get paid significantly more if he stays healthy this season.  Kosta Koufos got 4 years/$33 million this summer, for example.  The cap is going to increase 28%, and salaries will rise near the same.  A healthy Sully gets 8 figures average salary.

Somewhere between 4 for 48M to 4 for 60M seems right.

There's a reason that Amir's contract was seen as a great deal by a lot of analytical basketball writers.

The cap is going up and Amir got more money than he should have because he was willing to take a one year deal with a player option in year 2.

Sully is 23 where Johnson is 28 with a lot more miles on him. I would not be surprised if Sully got more than Amir, next year.

Sounds about right with the cap spike.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

If he keeps it up all season that's a good number in today's market.  Its probably not going to be enough when the cap goes up however.

Looks like it is unanimous. The only poster thinking Sully doesn't get less than $10 million per and probably gets $12 million per or more is the OP.

If a near double double guy like Tristian Thompson can garner $16 million a year in this cap environment, Sully has to be worth at least $13-14 million per year in a majorly inflated cap environment.
