i like the way rj channels his man to help,
i think people under estimate his length being so thin,if i remember correctly he tested high in agility which has transfered well on d
those long arms and active hands allow him to help on d
his hand offs are crisp but he needs to work with lee and amir on getting them the ball on bounce passes where they can catch it
jerebko has a connection with rj beacuse he spreads the floor himself-
i was a huge fan of prince and have been a rj fan since summer league, where he had a couple of  identical don't give up, use his length blocks from behind--
my favorite play was an insignificant box out at edge of key,a box out he didn't have to make but one of those  that winds up a deep board and bad luck bad bounce opportunity that can be a game killer-
Rollie. We need more RJ posts from you. They're my favorite posts of yours to read.

sorry if this ends up offending people

RJHunter makes me optimistic, and also makes me want to get rid of Young...thing is, Young almost has no value...Would people even give us a 2nd rounder for Young?

This is part of why I argued that RJ makes Bradley expendable, not Young. Selling low on Young isn't going to get you enough to make selling him worthwhile. I believe there are teams out there that would give up a meaningful asset for Bradley, and in his case, I see it as selling high.

What surprises me about RJ also is that he hasn't been really pushed around.  He looks like he has "wiry" strength and he can only get stronger

His 6'10 wingspan for 6'5 player is huge.   How many players in the league that are 6'5 have a 6'10 wingspan? Not everyday you see this

Liking his defense alot. In addition I became giddy watching him curl off two screens and nail the mid range jump shot like it was a layup.  A nice weapon to have , especially if you need crucial buckets

In general, the theory with draft picks is that one really good pick is better than 2-3 middling picks.  I agree with this theory and I think DA does too based on his reported offer of what was it, 3 picks for one slightly better pick.

There is another factor at play though and that is based on the fact that drafting is crap shoot at best.  When you have 3 picks, you have 3 times the chance of getting lucky and finding that sleeper.  It also allows the inevitable busts to be less painful.

Hunter has the shooting and the court vision to be a fairly upper level star but he may not have the body/strength to hold up to an NBA season.  Future looks bright right now though.

body/strength? wasn't that the same issue some scouts had about Reggie Miller? Tayshaun Prince? I think RJ will be okay.

To revisit the point about Young. My main issue with Young is not the lack of production but his body language, he just does not seem to want it that badly.

I`m pretty sure there was a similar thread about Bradley......

And Bradley was a steal. If there was a draft re-do, AB would go in the lottery easily, and likely higher.

edit: also, AB and RJH are pretty much entirely different players. not sure what your point is other than to not-so-subtly dig at AB. Man, that AB is a bust huh? Thought he was gonna be a superstar picking him at 21...
Avery Bradley was drafted 19th.  His Wins Shares for that draft are 19th.  I do think he probably makes the back end of the lottery, but he would have not been a top 10 pick in a re-do, which means he was a good pick, but not a steal (steals move up more than a few places).  Lance Stephenson getting drafted 40th was a steal in that draft.  Hassan Whiteside is now looking like a steal at 33, though he took awhile to get there.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

he will be the starting shooting guard on this team by 2017-18.

and one day a 15pt....3 reb... 3 assist kinda guy.

he looked so comfortable and confident out there last night.

he's a nice player, but I think his image is inflated because C's have zero other outside shooters...

my thing is this--- no matter how good a rookie might look, if they can't take Evan Turners job they aren't good enough...

RJ will be starting long before the 2017-18 season begins.

I would like to hear your list of players from the 2010 draft who you feel have turned in to better players than Bradley.

My list is:

1) Cousins
2) Wall
3) Monroe
4) George
5) Hayward
6) Bledsoe
7) Whiteside

That's 7 guys.

If you want to really stretch things you can throw in Larry Sanders (I wouldn't, since he's now out of the league) and Lance Stephenson (I also wouldn't, since he's now a head case coming off a horrible year).

So that's maybe 9 guys if you absolutely stretch it to the limit.

I think it's pretty hard to argue that Bradley would not have gone top 10 if there was a re-do of that draft.  There are not 10  guys on that list who are better than Bradley, I don't care what the "win share" tells you.

Also I am still dumbfounded by the lack of respect Bradley gets on these forums.  If he played for any other team, then 80% of the people here would whining and complaining about how stupid Danny was for not drafting him.

Favors for sure.  I think Stephenson is a no brainer.  Sanders was definitely better, but is so much a head case I have no idea. And then I think it starts getting interesting with guys like Turner, Patterson, Aminu.  Plus Bjelica has looked good.
