C - Amir (best defensive big. Solid effort out on the floor. Some nice mini hookshots)
PF - Mickey (Explosive PF - Rim presence - Strong to the basket on the offensive end)
SG/SF - Smart (not a true SF but can play the position due to length/strength- Defense)
SG - AB (Jump shot looks even better from last season. - Defense)
PG - Rozier (Ball handling ability-able to drive and score - Defense)
I like that lineup a lot. Loads of quickness relative to each position. Lots of defense. Good rebounding. Multiple ball-handlers. Solid floor spacing. Every one can shoot the ball. Great transition team (both ways).
I don't think it should be a starting lineup. I think that is going too far. But it is a lineup I would like to see out on the floor at some point this season and certainly next season.
I'd love to see Isaiah Thomas get traded to open up some minutes for Rozier. I know it will not happen but I would love to see it happen. I think Rozier offers the team more term with his two-way talent and is a better fit under the Celtics mentality identity than I.Thomas with his selfish offensive game & abysmal defense.
IT is selfish BUT for a guy coming off the bench , it is nice to have a guy like that. Against the Spurs we would of got demolished if IT didn't score like 8-10 points in a span of 3 mins.
It's not like Rozier is anymore unselfish. He can be just like IT and we have all seen it.
I think having Rozier start and IT come off the bench, will press on the opposing team and exhaust them . Just to pgs that can drive in at will/create shots. Then you can start throwing passes to guys like AB, KO, Hunter for open looks.
The thing I don't like the most right now is, teams are instructed to drive in at will where guys like Lee, KO, Sully and even to a certain extent Zeller can't do much to alter shot/block shots.
