It's one of the younger teams in the NBA, with a lot of guys who are still learning / developing along the way.  Two of the only legit vets team are both new to the team.

It's going to take some games for them all to get adjusted to roles and start playing with natural chemistry.

I agree with you, but generally teams that need to spend a chunk of the season figuring out how to make the most of the pieces on the roster don't end up winning 50 games, unless their core guys are superstars and they can go on a mega run, like some of LeBron's teams have done.

I get what you're saying, but look at the run we went on on the second half of last season - you don't need superstars to go on mega runs.

Even Cleveland struggled at the start of last season, as did the Heat when Lebron and Bosh first got there.

I don't think it's going to take a very long time for the team to start finding their way.  I'm thinking maybe around 7-10 games in, they will start to find their groove.

I'm not too concerned.

Smart with 14 points, 2 reb, 2 ast, 4 steals on 6-11 shooting.  He hasn't even hit any 3 pointers and he's only taken 4 free throws.

If Smart can make this a typical performance for him, he'll be a huge part of this team's success.

Impressed once again by this team's battling spirit today.

I think Marcus Smart is a huge part of this team's fighting mentality. Reminds me so much of Jason Kidd (as big physical defensive PG) in terms of his leadership and playing the same way no matter what is on the scoreboard and inspiring his teammates to the same.

Kidd and Billups come to mind for me.

Billups more so because he was always a "big shot" guy instead of a facilitator.

Makes sense.  Boozer has always seemed like the best case scenario for Sully, to me.

That said.. the matchup of Sully on Aldridge has to end..NOW.

Aldridge is 6'11 with a 7'5" wingspan and is one of the mid inside / outside offensive bigs in the NBA.  With Sully on him he will we have no hope of winning this game.
