That possession was a great example of the problem.  A nice drive and kick and then a second pass leading to an open three point shot.

That's a nice possession by any measure.  The problem is that the Celts don't have many good shooters, so that open shot was taken by Crowder, a mediocre three point shooter.

If that's Demarre Carroll or Harrison Barnes or whoever taking that shot, that plays yields points more often than not.

I know we're only down 7 but this game has that "Spurs could go up by 20 in about a minute if they really wanted to" feel to it

I think it is also a sign of the Spurs offense being less efficient with Aldridge in it.

More dynamic but less efficient.

Not creating as many high percentage shots as frequently as they have done in the recent past.

Smart limping... great.
Is it really that big of a loss tho
Who else is playing any better? He's the best player on our team out there right now if you consider his defense, too.

Wow, people piling on Smart here.

He's obviously not ready to lift the team up offensively.  Still a valuable part of the rotation.  You just can't expect him to prop up an otherwise offensively deficient starting lineup.  Not yet.

Seriously this would be a 20 pt game right now if it wasn't for Smart's defense

Agreed on Smart's defense. He he is doing a great job on that end of the floor.

Yes. We are so much better when he is on the floor

That play right there is why it would be a huge loss if Smart was hurt

He's totally taken Parker out of the game when he's in there.
