Milwaukee is blowing this for us. You can tell they're a really young team. They're making a ton of bad decisions.

Eh, one Brooklyn W doesn't mean much.  And I think they'll put it out regardless - Brooklyn seems like they want to keep going to the Iso Joe well.

I disagree.  The Wolves, Knicks and 6ers finished with 16, 17 and 18 wins, respectively.  That one win at the end of the season could really mean a lot.  Not only that, but the Nets are actually trying to win.

Right - they each won 16-18 games.  Which means that between 90-100% of each team's wins wound up having impact on the place they finished in.  Add the ping-pong balls to the equation and the wins become even less meaningful amongst the bad teams.

Brooklyn will win some games.  It's not a catastrophe when it happens, that's all I'm saying.

Anyway, moot point because 0-4 baby!

You're absolutely right, but I do think there's something to the idea that if Brooklyn goes on a mean losing streak to start the season (e.g. their 0-18 start a while back), that could break their spirits for the rest of the season.

I don't know anything about the lotto but let's say bkn is 3rd worst, doesn't that mean only one team has to jump up to knock them out of the top 3 but if they are 2nd they could get jumped once and still be top 3. So, if a loss/win here or there is the difference between 2nd or 3rd doesn't it mean they matter?

W/e, I just want them to lose every game they can for more balls hehe.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Steph Curry reinforcing that "Greatest Shooter of All-Time" thread, wherever it's at in the forums.

He is STILL on an amazing tear, at least so far.

I don't see him hitting a brick wall.....

AGAIN - "Greatest Shooter" is by no means "Greatest Player", which Larry Bird is arguably Top 3 or 5 All Time.

But Steph is making this look easy. Effortless. Looks like he could erupt for 70 here soon. He already went for 53 so far...

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I'm glad to see the Hornets having some success against the Bulls.  They've played well so far this season and it hasn't paid off with wins (yet).  Same story for them and for the Magic.

Drummond is such a nice asset. 14 pts and 11 rebs with over three minutes left to go IN THE FIRST HALF...

It's being talked about on RealGM general....

http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1412250&p=44942892#p44942892

It's pretty good, but it omits the Minnesota pick, which is only top 12 protected.  They're looking kind of frisky this year and could absolutely get us the 13th or 14th pick.  Combined with our pick and the likely Mavs pick, we'll have 3 mid teens picks.  We could hopefully package those for a player in the 8-12 range where there are some great prospects.  Jacob Poetl would be great, but then there's guys like Diamond Stone:

6'10 and growing, he's only 18.  He'll start for Maryland this year.

Drummond is getting scary good

25 and 29 in a losing effort, but great numbers.

Would love for Danny to somehow nab Drummond. He's IMO a traditional Big and not as prone to injury with his build.

If the Pistons had an actual bench they'd be a force and he's a huge reason why. Too bad he's probably as untouchable as they come... still couldn't believe he fell to 9

Orlando looking good to get their first win against the Pelicans. What chance Brooklyn are the last team left standing on 0 wins?  8)

Mavs currently imploding down the stretch vs the Raps.  Allowed something like a 13-3 run to go down 8.

I know about the injuries, but the Pelicans are 0-4. Like I've said before, people need to pump the brakes and stop prematurely coronating AD the best player in the league. He hasn't done anything to warrant that status just yet. I don't care about his PER or his historical records; none of that has translated to actual team success. And by team success, I don't mean "making the playoffs on the strength of a tiebreaker." If he's supposedly the best player in the league, I'm holding him to considerably loftier standards: those that we expect from LeBron, KD, and the like.

Agreed.
