Jerebko is a 4, not a 3.  So you have Amir, KO, Zeller, Lee and either Sully or Jerebko who they just signed.  With Mickey in reserve.  Don't see how Sully stays here.
Jerebko is a natural 3.
On this team he's a 4.

Smart plays best with ET in the game. It takes pressure off of him. I think turner will be the starter at SF when all is said and done.

I've thought this all along as well - at the end of the day ET our best small forward.  His level of talent and skill is so far beyond Crowder's that it's not even funny.

Crowder really only has one thing that he does better than Turner (defense) and that is purely a result of his personality (motor, toughness).  His actually level of skill/talent is really quite low.

If Turner isn't starting for Boston when the regular season begins it will be because of rotational fit, not because of lack of talent.

Rozier has really impressed me tonight. 16, 6, 4, and 4!

We have a player in Rozier. He gets where ever he wants, he shoots well, his passing is solid, if not spectacular, he defends well.

trob 12/5 with a +/- of -13. ko has 8/2, leading the team at +11. I swear I don't get +/- b/c KO was also leading +/- with 2pts and all other stats were zero. i need a lesson on +/-!

It's simple - KO impacts the game in a lot of ways that don't get recorded on the box score.

I could see this in the first preseason game against Armani.  When KO was on the floor, he was everywhere.  You don't really see all the things he does out there.  I think I saw an opponent score on him once the whole night.  He was constantly keeping in front of players to stop dribble penetration, running out to contest hard on jumpers, setting screens, making great 'hockey' passes, messing up the defense with his drive/dish game, running hard in transition, etc.

I've been saying for over a year now that Kelly Olynyk is far more valuable than anybody gives him credit for.  There's a reason why he's still getting minutes over Sully, even though Sully has always been the statistically more impressive player.

When you watch the next Celtics game do me a favor and really watch Olynyk when he's off the ball.  You will see what I mean.

He's not a very quick guy, yet somehow he seems to ALWAYS be in the right place at the right time and no shot against him ever goes up uncontested.  All I can put it down to is that his basketball IQ is absolutely off the charts.

His impressive Real-Plus-Minus numbers from last year (on both ends of the court) are not by accident.

Been saying this ever since the day we drafted him - and I copped plenty of flak for it.

"He's too small"
"He can't shoot"
"He can't dribble"
"He can't pass"

I've seen the things this kid can do - he is for real.  Three years from now, he's going to look like a man who should have been a top 5 pick.  Top 10 at the very least.

i for one have picked on him at times, but I have to say he may have turned the corner. He works hard, and he's a good kid.

Rozier and Amir played great.

Most everyone else was fair to good.

If ET played every night the way he did tonight, I'd want to keep him on the team. I don't think I saw him do anything egregious tonight!

Sully needs to go.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

Are you thinking he's the PG of the Celtic future?

Nah, I happen to be a fan of KO, I see what he does out there... just check my posts defending him. I just don't really like +/- because I have seen people look like poo out there and they still have good +/- b/c of their teammates. I'm not surprised by KO close/leading in it, he has been his entire 2 seasons and preseason.

I honestly just don't get how you can be turrible and have good +/- and be good with good +/-. It's like the stat can't make up it's "mind" LOL.

Completely agree. I still think that deal given to Crowder is a bargain though. He complements that second unit perfectly: not needing the ball, slashing, broken plays, corner threes (and of course his defense).

LBJ has a good 5-10 yrs of great/good play left in him, we need Crowder even if he's coming off the bench.
