It is painful to think about that if the nets had not beaten us twice they would have 9 wins... the same as the lakers.

well we balanced it out by losing to the Lakers, (eye roll)
Are you saying we need to lose to the Lakers again? ;D

C'mon, Toronto Celtics, lay it on this Nets team.

Extend their losing streak to 3!!!

If it makes the difference that gets us Simmons I would have to think long and hard about it. :)

ESPN moved the Nets up a spot to #26 on its power rankings this week. And that's on the back of a week in which the only game they won was against the Knicks, who were missing Melo and on the back half of a BTB. Look, they might be better than LAL, Philadelphia and Phoenix, but I'd be happy to let them play Minnesota for that #27 spot.

I'd absolutely be OK with losing to LA again.   Not only does it help the C's to the goal of getting #1 or #2, but moves the Lakers closer to losing their pick.   Unfortunately, the C's are very unlikely to lose again to the Lakers.

I am OK with wherever the C's end up this year, as long as players make progress.   This only changes for me if their is a surpise move (or set of moves) by the trade deadline that makes the C's a conference contender.

Still worried about Minny lol?
http://www.cbssports.com/nba/gametracker/boxscore/NBA_20160117_PHO@MIN

Absolutely, and I'm even more worried about Phoenix.
Minnesota could be in the playoffs and y'all would still be worried.

Oh gee, how dare I be worried that the 13-29 Timberwolves, who are 1.5 games better than the Nets thanks to their win today, might catch the Nets! I'm just an overly cautious worry wart aren't I?

But seriously, kudos to the Timberwolves for blowing out one of the worst teams in the league at home. That 13th win really should put my worries to sleep.
I guess we'll see buddy! Prepare the crow that you will be eating at the end of the year when Minny has a better record than the Nets.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

The question was not, "Do you think Minnesota will catch Brooklyn?". It was actually, "Are you still worried about Minnesota catching Brooklyn?" There's a very distinct difference between those two questions. Am I worried that Minnesota will catch Brooklyn? Yes. Do I think they will? I don't know. I can't tell the future, but that doesn't mean it aint close. 1.5 games is pretty close to each other if you ask me. 1.5 games is what's keeping the Celtics from getting the 5th seed in the east right now. And hey, I'll be just as happy as anyone else is if the Timberwolves get themselves together and go on a streak, but as of late they've looked pretty darn awful. One game does not change that.

More importantly, even if Minnesota does have a better record than Brooklyn, that doesn't automatically mean the Nets will get us the better pick. The lottery is very unpredictable.
