Oh Rondo, can get triple doubles but can't hit the rim on a free throw lol

I'd love to read an article some day explaining why Rondo struggle so badly with free throws.  I just don't get how somebody can have so much skill and yet have so much trouble with that aspect of the game.

I think the prevailing theory is the large hands, but there seems to be many other examples of players with large hands who aren't that bad. Has to be a psychological thing.

i remember reggie miller, or someone of the sort, saying its because he palms the ball as he shoots.

No Gay. No Collison. Cousins fouled out. Up by 15 in the second. Against one of the league's worst defenses. Sacramento doing dumb things late. The fact Brooklyn couldn't win is another testament to how bad they are.

Great individual effort for Rondo and DMC

Rondo just can't can't play structured play driven basketball ......he just has to make it up,as he goes ....it's hard for old school coaches to let him do that .

How long until the Nets bench Joe Johnson and start Bojan?  Seems like Bojan is their second or third best player.

Unlikely. I doubt most Nets players even know that the Celtics own their pick. I think it was during the preseason that some reporter asked a bunch of our guys if they knew that we had the Nets pick: none of our guys knew.

Brooklyn plays Golden State tomorrow.  1-10. 

As much as they probably should have lost to the Rockets (who lost to Denver tonight - who here would have picked Denver to have a better record than the Rockets through 9 games?), you can't ask for better than a 1-10 start to Brooklyn's season.

I love Cous and still like RR, I hope that game means the Kings stink and that BKN still sucks and not Kings are going to be good and BKN won't be terrible.

Somewhat of a tough call.  Bogs is firepower off the bench.  If Johnson is relegated to the bench unit, that's a lineup of Larkin, Ellingon, Johnson, Robinson, and Bargs.  That's pretty brutal.  But maybe at this stage of his career, Johnson is better served for a bench role than Bogs. 

There have been plays that Johnson has made this season that look like vintage Johnson - patient, crafty moves where he works his way into the lane with easy floaters and mid-range shots that seem to fall with ease.  But otherwise he's looked really bad.  He may have finally hit the wall.

Looking at Johnson's stats actually, even basic stats, indicates that it's time to put him on the bench.  33% FG with 21% from 3-point range.

The Kings are pretty bad.  Brooklyn is still as terrible as we think, and their record over the year will bear it out.  They're 1-9 playing Lopez a ton.  Either he'll get hurt or they'll cut back his minutes after the trade deadline.  They have no upside -- it's very difficult to see them not finishing with one of the three worst records in the NBA.

But Cousins -- he's dominant.  He deserves to get out of Sacto.

Not me. I actually had Denver as being worse than Brooklyn. I'd love to see them win a few more. Assuming they're any good, I'm down to Philly, LA and Portland. I think NO eventually pulls out of its funk.

Portland has looked pretty solid this year at times.  They won't be in the running for the bottom.
