By the way, I really like 'fellowship of the miserable' as a creative way of casually and not-too-harshly deriding posters that take a more pessimistic stance than the average poster.  It's a dang sight better than "tankers," and more interesting than "pessimists."

I guess that's okay, but I'm still in awe of "Skalenfreude."

I agree with you, but it's spelled "Schadenfreude" here in Germany, I've heard there isn't even a word for that feeling in English 

Skalenfreude is a portmanteau of Schadenfreude and Skal Labissiere.  A word found only in Celticsblog.

He definitely looks better. Makes me a bit nervous. But how many nights can you let him play 35 minutes?

He definitely looks better. Makes me a bit nervous. But how many nights can you let him play 35 minutes?

That's the big question .......he really has no competent back up ........when he goes out ...the other team automatic starts to cut the lead or build on theirs .

If they play him too much .......with 80 games to go .....that's a lot of wear and tear

If they don't play him ......they sure can't win many games .

It's Catch22. ........

I think they should TRADE him before he gets hurt and while his value looks high .

What move could they make that would even help them?  Nobody wants anybody on their team other than RHJ and Lopez, but they probably can't get better players back in return.  They don't have a draft pick to trade in either round for like 3 years.  Maybe they could target players like the Celtics have been doing the last few years (Bass, Crowder, Zeller types) with cap space and hope to string a few wins together, but it would ultimately just hurt their cap.  Also, with the cap going up for everybody, these kind of deals are less attractive for teams now.  They'd probably just keep the productive player.

At Atlanta
Hawks on a back to back.
Nets at full strength, Jarret Jack back and playing frustratingly reasonably well.
Possible trap game.

Keys to the Game:

APPROACH THE BASKET CAUTIOUSLY
Obviously it's always nice to have serious, season-ending injuries, but these can't be relied upon for sub-par performance. There needs to be serious apathy stemming from a "team-first" realization that any first-quarter success is likely only temporary.

SHOOT A LOT OF THREES
Whilst it will be tempting to go inside to Lopez, the Nets need to resist this urge and have Jack, Larkin, and Thomas Robinson shooting high volume threes

SLOWNESS SLOWNESS SLOWNESS
Atlanta run a nice high-paced, fast ball movement offence. Nets will need to be slow to get back on D. Joe Johnson will be critical in this area, also Lopez who is perennially reliable in this category, but needs to push even harder.

I have no faith the Lakers can beat the Nets .

Nets are very poor ......to be sure....but


Lakers flat out suck .....worse maybe than the sixers.....if that is possible.

Lakers will be fine. Their roster is way better than the Nets.
A few adjustments over over the next 10 games and they'll starting winning a few.

I think the only teams 100% worse than the Nets are the 76ers and Nuggets and if they lose Lopez they are worse than Denver IMO.
