How is DA going to make room for all those pics...
Even trading them will not be that easy.

You have a point there. Sometimes to many young assets lead to mistakes and confusion. We've drafted 3 this year, (Rozier, Mickey, and RJ) we have how many in 2016, 3 or 4 more.

We need solid two-way bigs, players with length, that can defend, AND score. Not defensively challenged players that can only score, or just the reverse.
Well said . I love ko  and Avery like children. But you sell the farm for someone like Jimmy butler, Paul George, kawhi,  lillard, towns, etc. .

The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

It's the original Brooklyn trade thread.  Pretty funny to see that the general consensus was that all Brooklyn's picks would be in the mid- to late-20s.

EDIT:  Lol -

Not only for our benefit but for them to win more and relinquish that pick!!! Haha
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I mean, D-Will was coming off a 19 and 7 season and was only 28 years old.  Brook Lopez was still, well, Brook Lopez.  Pretty good when healthy.  I thought that'd be enough to keep them afloat for at least the next few years.  I also thought Pierce would stick around, not jump ship at the first opportunity.

The lesson, I suppose, is never underestimate Billy King.

I'm not judging, I hated it at the time too - didn't think Wallace's contract was worth the picks.  It grew on me a little in the subsequent weeks, but man, it's done nothing but improve with age.

See the Stein Tweet I edited in above - people were calling King the EOY at the time

That is an awesome quote from Stein. Even he would have to think that's funny now. Maybe.

Somebody needs to go over to the Lakers forums ...l

And tell them there is a temporary truce for tonight's game against Brooklyn .

Actually .....Lakers would be better served to bench Kobe ,   they have player better the past three years with him out than in the lineup.  LOL

I think the lesson is...when it comes to personnel transactions...none of us truly know anything.

Well, I did say this in that thread:

So, you know, I guess my opinion hasn't changed much on it.

Ladies and gentlemen, your Executive of the Year!

To be fair, a lot of comments in that thread were assuming we'd get earlier picks, like 2013 and 2015, and not so far into the future.  The Nets picks were 22nd and 29th in those two drafts.  I remember being much happier when I found out how far into the future the picks were, and looked at the Nets cap situation.

Yeah, that was the turning point in the analysis of the trade.  Oh, you mean we're getting all those picks well after their window for being good?  Awesome.
