Let's limit it to commercially available that isn't outside of the law, i.e. no clenbuterol, T3, etc.

Honestly, the best commercially available one was the original formula of OxyElite Pro with DMAA in it, but it's been discontinued since I believe the US banned the use of DMAA in supplements without a prescription. Not only was it an excellent fat burner and thermogenic, it also provided a mood enhancement property for me.

Right now I'd have to say the Hydroxycut Hardcore series is the best on the market. It provides a major thermogenic effect, though it definitely has the potential for nasty side effects if misused or if you have a low tolerance for caffeine. Both the Hydroxycut Hardcore Elite and Next Gen series have been good in my experience.

I've also recently tried Lipo 6 Black and Dr. Stoppani's Shred Jym, but I wasn't impressed at all with those.

Consider this post as a bump.

I am thinking of trying fat burning supplements. And I would look in this thread to get an idea of what I think would fit me. I'm considering Ripped Fuel as of right now, bit not have bought it yet. Anyone used it before?

Potter, try researching about organic/natural ways to burn fat. Firstly, most of us have unknowingly taken in many metals throughout our life in the forms of: aluminum in deodorant, showering and getting metals through the skin and breathing in steam, just drinking regular water, taking prescription pills or getting certain vaccines.

So metals get stored largely in fat. And trying to burn that fat gets difficult if you have those metals present. Some people like doing parasite/ candida cleanses first, then metal cleanses(I believe but def research it for YOURSELF). Something I do to lose weight/ get my metabolism up is to eat foods that stop food stagnation, get the thyroid moving (naturally), and eat foods that help convert fat into energy....like coconut oil (I use organic). I also start every day off with drinking apple cider vinegar from Braggs with Lemon and honey in a glass of spring water. I also am doing the anti-inflammatory diet (lifestyle) and try green tea that you make yourself a few times a day.

Stay away from soy (I'm still trying to figure out how/why I need to stay away from soy efficiently)and processed foods. Here is a site that I enjoy. I believe if you are eating right, drinking 4 liters of water a day(depends on how much you weigh), eating organic and natural, and taking supplements for vitamin B and D, and exercising......you should have no problem losing weight. Maybe you should look at your diet and your health and see if anything sticks out to you as a problem.

My fat burning combination:

1. Green Tea
2. Choline/Inositol
3. L-Carnitine
4. Apple Cider Vinegar

I get mine from SOLGAR Supplements.

Combine this with an Intermittent Fasting Protocol and there you go...

Interesting topic. I'm not a believer in any of the caffeine products out there they usually just geek me out. I've been eating better and upped my cardio and have seen good results. Saying all that I'd love to find something that would help strip away that last little layer of fat on my abs. :-\

Anyone have tips on this for the middle-aged crowd? Our (naturally occuring) hormones are different, which might mean a need for different supplements. Happy to get tips on this.

fco, to your extensive list you might also consider amaranth. easy to get. easy to blend into foods.

but overall shaq's suggestion wins.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I'm pushing 40 and fancy myself something of an amateur athlete (my rivals might disagree) in marathon style events.  Exercise like 8-10x weekly, try to drink 100 ounces of water a day.

Recently though I changed one thing in my diet that had a very quick and noticeable effect.  I use to eat granola bars in the morning, then have black coffee w sugar at work.  I switched that out to raw walnuts and stopped putting sugar in my coffee.  All the sudden I'm hanging around 170 instead of 177 with literally no other change to my routine.

Conclusion:   Processed sugars are evil.

I never liked burners always gave me jitters. Morning workouts 6x a week (p90x), sauna suits while riding a stationary bike 30mins an hour before bed. Active job. Diet watch 3 out of 4 meals a day. All worked to get me into great shape at 30. I was 6' 180lbs with an 8 pack not 6. Diet meals werent bad just boring. I also went no sugar treats or sugar added to drinks, with coffee or tea they were had with one tablespoon of honey.

Thanks I looked at it. Might put it in my morning fruit, yogurt, granola, chia seed, flax seed concoction.

I just picked up spirulina, hemp hearts and powder(got for free at a shop in NH), cocoa nibs, cod liver oil, pumpkin seeds. I am closing on my house soon(like 12 days) and after that I want to buy a vitamix s30 blender for shakes, wheatgrass station, dehydrator, bread maker, and maybe a blender. I'd like to start making better meals because I have been eating raw all summer.

Also to anyone that is on adderal there are natural products that mimic the same lowered food craving side effect.

Though it's not necessarily a diet cleanse, I've had good results with the acai berry colon cleanse. I usually do it twice a year to try and clear out the bowels. You definitely seem to have more energy and experience less bloating afterwards, especially if you're guilty of consuming a typical Western diet lol
