If he added some weight (he's only 185 lbs) then I could see him coming in and getting spot minutes right away, but I think his defense will hold him back until then, and it will be Rozier getting the minutes instead

You don't think we will use him on timeout to get three points in certain situations?   I do.   I am not talking regular PT but I think we will use him as  three point specialist from the get go.

Mickey has a huge chip on his shoulder, I would not be surprised if he does not end up a steal.

Uh oh, Lbrd will be stewing.
i guess this negates us taking what experts call the biggest reach in the draft.

What does that have to do with where Larry Nance Jr. was drafted?

Good point, that's something I hadn't even thought of. If he's fine coming cold off the bench and shot in (or even just helping space the floor) that would be huge for us
I'm bitter.

Hopefully he will shoot well starting out.

A couple of years ago, Olynyk tied for first on the survey's question about who would have the best career.

He's still in the running.

I know, right?

It's totally possible that the 3 best careers might come from outside the top 10 picks (KO, MCW, Greek Freak)
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

RJ Hunter is a keeper.

I see him as an ultimate glue player that will always make the right decision.

I can see him developing into a Shane Battier/Chandler Parsons type of player.

I'd put my money on Gobert having the best career. Greak Freak has the highest upside, but even if Gobert doesn't get much better than he is now he could end up being a rich man's Marcus Camby. Not too shabby.

Dude

Has

Game

Complete
hunter still has a lot to prove on defense, so let's keep that in mind.

also in the nice news category, rozier came in at #6 at the biggest steal:

6. Terry Rozier (16), Boston -- 6.1 percent

Fun food for thought I guess. But if I remember correctly players aren't allowed to vote for fellow players on their current NBA team (rookies of course) or players they've played with in college.

So what about the guys who legitimately feel like their college teammate or NBA teammate (rookie) are the best "steal", "shooter", etc.? They can't even vote for them. Little bit of a selection bias there.
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!

though i am sure the counter argument is that allowing players to pick their friends and teammates has a bit of selection bias build in as well, no?

Of course, and perhaps I'm giving these rookies too much credit. Still, I think telling someone you can't vote for your teammate in this 3PT shooter selection poll, when your teammate is the best 3PT shooter of this class, is a little weird.
