Smart, Hunter, Rozier are the only players on the celtics I could see turning into all-stars to be honest. I've given up on Young, Sullinger is fat and will gain his weight back eventually. So those two players I'm down on. Sullinger will have his best season and I hope we trade him before he gains the fat back. The rest on this team are just role players at best.
Hunter has Kevin Martin upside. We'll see if this transpires but I actually like him personally. He's just one of the few celtics that I have high hopes for. He caught my eye in SL even with his mediocre SL stats, and I understand if people don't have him as high as others. But I weigh work ethic, and imo, he has great work ethic. Also, he's used to playing P&R, so I like that. I listened to an interview where he said he was working on his handle. That is so big that he understands being a strong ballhandler is important.
I like Rozier because he is athletic, great first step, and good ball handling skills. So he has the physicals tools to be good. If you look at the Celtic's roster, none of the players on the team have all three of these skills, even Smart.
Marcus Smart has potential to be an all-star because of his defense, and I think his unbelievable work ethic will pay dividends. He seems like a guy who will force himself to improve on his weakness's. He kind of reminds me of a mini-Ron Artest.
Honestly, i weigh worth ethic and intangibles more than others so my list may be different from others.
