Could change topic heading to trade instead of deal perhaps?

Interesting little bite there.
Thought he was trying to be funny and then read the full quote.
God I hope we do trade him.

Why do you hope we trade him?

I just don't think he's got the heart/mentality to be a starting forward in the NBA. Just can't ever see him getting much better.
Just a personal opinion.

Fair enough.  You're certainly not alone on that.

I happen to think he is a better fit as a starting center than at power forward.  Again, despite the numbers backing me up on this, I know I'm not going to get much agreement from the majority of the fan base on that opinion.

Well, if Mickey can develop into a defensive powerhouse, then you may be onto something. KO certainly has the tools and I was actually a little bummed about the Lee trade as he will likely get little chance to showcase those tools this year.

Everyone is talking about how Kelly's minutes are going to take a big hit this year.  I am guessing that assumes he will be fighting for most of his minutes at power forward.

If his primary position is center, as it was last season, there should be more minutes available for him.  He's basically going to be competing with Tyler Zeller for most of those minutes.  Amir will probably get some minutes at center, but I'm assuming he plays the majority of them at power forward.

I would actually love to see a starting lineup of Amir at PF and Kelly at center with Sully and Zeller as the primary backups and David Lee as the fifth big.

Probably a pipe dream, though.

Please review Amir's stats at PF and at C last year:

Really if you want to go by that then one could say AJ should be a SF over PF.

That's rough. Almost as awkward as Danny saying that Jonas will be here for 'another year......maybe two' during the press conference.

Well, yeah.  I mean, for everyone who talks about creating a 'culture' ::), here, it's been pretty obvious for a while now that we already have one, and it really has nothing to do with the guys on the court ;).

I am trying to put two things together and be logical here.  Amir is a legit 6'11" on the court and has a center's body and strength level AND his numbers back that up.  And it was even MORE pronounced in 2013-2014.

And there were NO SF stats that year.  Are you getting happier???

Should've picked Giannis Antetokounmpo over him.

Way to many PF's, one center that isn't a standout and plays like a PF, and nobody should feel too comfortable. Even the new big money guys only have one year.

KO might have the biggest chance of still being here in 16/17 as being gone this year, though.

KO is a 7 footer who can shoot and pass.  He won't ever be an elite defender, but average will be just fine as long as he continues to improve his offensive game.

We have a logjam at PF and I think KO is just being realistic here.  Hopefully he is going to be the one to stay, but any one of him or Sullinger or PJIII might go because we have too many guys at that position right now.

You may have posted in the wrong thread. That argument was beaten to death more than once over the past few years in other threads. Mayhaps you want to bump one of those.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

If we hadn't traded up, I guess that we should have taken Dieng, but I saw somewhere that Ainge didn't even bring him in for a workout. :o *facepalm* Does anyone know if this is true?
