You would think they have to trade one of them at some point. Who stays and who goes.

I think they might try to sell high on EMbiid hoping another team clears him while they know he'll never play or not stay healthy.

Otherwise Noel. Talent wise he;s in 3rd place, potential for sure.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Noel. He has the least superstar potential IMO and is a poor fit next to Okafor. Embiid is unlikely to be traded as his value (potential to be a superstar) is still there for the 6ers, while it's unlikely that anyone else would pay enough to make it worth it for Philly. Okafor has that superstar potential that Hinkie wants and seems to be the future in Philly.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Embiid isn't a tradable asset for the same reason there isn't really a thriving secondary market for lottery tickets. He's worth much more to the Sixers than anyone else at this point.

We'll have to wait a season or two to figure out which of Okafor and Noel gets taken out behind the shed and MCW'd. I'm almost certain the two of them can't play together and I'm sure Philly knows it as well.

He's tradable in somebody's willing to trade for him. I could see Ainge offering young into first form if he feels he can get back.

Depends what happens with Embiid.

Noel is probably the most likely to be traded, because he's already had some issues with the team and vice-versa. I think that is stupid, though, because he has the best chance of the three to actually have a chance to play at the power forward position. Embiid and Okafor cannot exist together, and I have serious doubts that even Noel can play the power forward position full-time.

I don't understand this thread at all, or similar ones surmising that any of these guys could be traded.  The whole point of tanking was to get talent like Embiid, Noel, and Okafor.  These guys are blue chip prospects, so why would the 76ers even entertain the idea of trading one of them?  They might be in the toilet, record-wise, right now, but it's not like we're talking about Charlotte, here ;), lol ;D.

Hinkie will trade the guy with the most value. That is how he operates. Thats why it will be Okafor who is moved after they showcase him this season.

I voted Nerlens Noel based purely on wishful thinking.

Noel.  He's up for contract extension talks next fall.  If the Sixers dont want to give him the max, they'll find someone who does.

Agreed.

And I can see the Celtics handing him close to a max, and him agreeing, or asking the Sixers to do a sign and trade.

Noel for some reason has a lot of appreciation and love for Boston.  ;D

Noel is my choice but only if Philly is building and is getting a top 10 pick + or top 6 pick for him. Sort of what happened with MCW.

i said embiid
because as he has the most superstar potential - i think you give up on him
i mean how many superstar big men have come back from 2 straight seasons recovering from an injury

best to recoup what they can and try trade him for a mid 1st rounder while they can

i dont think they trade noel because of the embiid injury
and seeing as they picked okafor
they clearly are wary of embiid's health

noel and okafor can work
if they can play it so that noel can take on usual PF on defense end and maybe learn to shoot a mid range jumper to space the floor more

trading noel prolongs the rebuild
they were on a 5 season rebuild before the embiid situation
now they will try tanking again because of embiid to fill in their core

tanking for so long has devastating consequences on fan base + players perceptions
fans dont want to see a team lose
players dont want to join a team via free agency or trade to a team that is outright losing

also messes up the saric situation as he is due to join them next season

Of course they'll want to trade Embiid ....

Hopefully the other two will force their way out of that awful situation on to properly run teams where they can actually start trying to play CORRECT basketball with non scrub players.

I think playing with Okafor will really hurt Noel's value. And of course Philly is more invested in developing Okafor. By mid-season, I think they might realize this.

I just don't think those two can play together realistically, and Okafor has a much higher ceiling so you gotta give him more minutes. Part of the reason Noel's value was so high at the end of last year was because he was being so heavily highlighted in every Philly game. He was the only legit long term piece on that team last year, and he played pretty well with all that usage. But when you put him next to Okafor, his offense isn't going to look very good. His D will still be there, but as we get to the ASG I think we'll hear rumblings about Hinkie looking to move Him.

I hate "hot takes" but mine would be: By the trade dead-line, the idea that we would have to include Smart to get Noel will seem ludicrous. I think Smart is going to take a big step forward this season, and with a regression in Noel's trade value, if Noel gets moved and we're in the mix, I think the largest asset involved is the Mavs pick.

James Young, David Lee and the 2016 Dallas pick. Then Philly moves Lee. Mark it down, haha.
