His stats were basically the same in summer league last year.   I don't anticipate him being all that different than he was over the second half of last season.  If they make him the primary ballhandler, he might see an uptick in his stats.

2014:  5 games - 14.8 points, 4.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 2 steals, 0.4 blocks 29%/26/83%
2015:  5 games - 16 points, 4.2 assists, 3 rebounds, 2.4 steals, 0.4 blocks 35%/28%/84%

He showed mild improvement over the first and second half of the regular season last year, so it's not shocking that he showed mild improvement over his appearance a year ago in Summer league... having spent an entire season playing against NBA competition:

Pre All-star: 6.8 points, 3.5 assists, 2.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals on 37%/35%/67% - 24.4mpg
Post All-star: 9.1 points, 2.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.9 steals on 36%/32%/63% - 30.2mpg

In Smart's defense, he was hurt the final game so his stats took a hit... he finished #54 amongst summer league participants in total statistical efficiency.   Even before the injury, his uptick in stats reflected the mild uptick he had over the second half of the NBA season last year...

LarBrd, Give me an overall rating on Smart on a 1 to 100 scale. 100 being perfect.

Would you give him an 80 right now?

No.   If we're talking NBA2K ratings, isn't 80 someone like Paul Pierce in his prime?   Smart is nowhere near that.   He'd probably be in the high 80s/low 90s for perimeter defense attribute, though.  His ratings for offense would be pretty brutal.

Here you go... this is from February:  http://thereal2kinsider.blogspot.com/2015/02/official-nba-2k15-player-ratings-all.html  ... Marcus Smart wasn't one of the top 50 best point guards in updated NBA2k15 ratings.

Pierce hit a 90 in his prime. Smart to me is a 78 or 79 overall

No. I'm taking real world overall ratings where Lebron is a 99 and Davis is a 98.

Right now, on a 1-100 scale, (where 50 is an average player, 80 is an All-Star calibre player, 90 is a franchise player) I'd probably give Smart around a 70 right now.

Potential wise I'd say he probably has the potential to become somewhere in the 78 - 85 range.

I like the star ratings...

5 star = Superduper stars
4.5 star = High quality all-star
4 star = fringe all-star
3.5 star = really good starter
3 star = starter
2.5 star = borderline starter
2 star = bench player
1.5 star = scrub

Peak David Lee was between a 3.5 and 4, right?  Dunno what he's got left.  Beyond him, I think at best, we have a couple 3 star players on this team.  Smart was probably between a 2.5 and 3 star last year depending on who you ask.   Just based on his performance at the end of the season, I don't think he'd start for every team in the league.  So I'd say he was a 2.5 star player with 4 star potential.

Players don't always reach their potential.  Sometimes they exceed their potential.  Here's hoping he exceeds it.

If Lebron is a 99, then I don't think Davis is a 98 - not at this point in his career.

I'd probably say Durant would be the next highest at around a 97, with David and Cousins are around a 95.  I'd say Harden, Westbrook and CP3 are around a 92, and Steph Curry around a 90.

Before I get flamed yes, I do think Anthony Davis and Demarcus Cousins are better than Steph Curry, and I would take both guys over Curry given the choice.

Comparing stats without actually watching the game is retarded, if you actaully watched the games then you would see that Smart actually tried in only 3 games and in those three games his avg would be 20+.  2/5 games with one aimed at practicing threes he did nothing else but shoot 3s and the other game he was injured.  When his stats are skewed 2 out of 5 games and still had better stats than last year, you must be blind to not see improvemetns

In terms of 2k ratings,  prime Paul Pierce is like a 90.  Smart now is like a 74.

I saw the game where he went 1-11 with 6 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in 26 minutes against undrafted semi-pro basketball players... was he just joking around?

So your conclusion of Smart's Summer League performance being mildly better than last years that you repeatedly post on this site is based on actually watching only 1 game.  If you are too slow to realize, the coaching staff clearly made a point for him to strictly practice threes in that game.  If he played a normal game, no doubt he would of gotten in a better groove and had a better performance.
