Charlotte's run by folks who feel a lot of pressure to make the team decent and watchable for a long enough stretch to actual gain some traction with fans in a small market that tends to have a lot more interest in college basketball than the NBA product.
It's not really fair to judge how they run their team from the perspective of a Boston sports franchise that sells out games and turns a healthy profit even when the team is in the tank.
