Granted we don't have enough minutes for everyone, but that aside, this is a perfect guy to take a free flyer on. Put him in a new environment, put him on the court with passionate guys like Crowder and Smart. Simplify the game and tell him to defend, shoot corner 3s (42%), and play hard for 10-15 minutes per night. See if he can hang with that role. He certainly has the ability to be a 3-and-D guy, get his confidence, and maybe (just maybe) be more someday. Odds? I dunno, but not astronomical.
He might fail, but he's 23 and was at least arguably in a weird position in OKC playing behind Durant on a contender. Yes, he got a big opportunity when Durant was out, but it's still different than being developed slowly. Basically he went from no chance of real minutes to starting overnight. He had a couple of big games and faded.
Or, he's going to be flipped within the hour =)
