Lord, I'd be really sad if we can't get a spot open for Jonathan Holmes.
Talk about a Stevens type player that fits his system, he is it. He plays defense, he shoots threes, he's constant effort.
We have to open up a spot for that kid. We just have to.
I like PJIII a lot, but this kid looks real good.
The difference is motor.
PJIII is more talented, which is why I don't mind having him, especially for a future 2nd. But he doesnt have the motor, and the willingness to play both ends unlike Holmes. Jonathan Holmes keeps it simple on offense, but is all out energy on defense, rebounds and hustle.
I'd be disappointed (a little bit) if we missed out on Holmes because the roster spot goes to Perry Jones. But it will go away if he gets to a different team not named Cleveland, Lakers, Clippers, Knicks.
