Triboy, I don't mean to burst your bubble, but why do you spend so much time on Mickey? Best case scenario is that he becomes a rotation player for years to come. Most likely scenario is that he's a career journeyman. Worst case scenario is he's out of the league in a couple of years.
You're rivaling the AWOL BBallTim with the love affair he has for Rondo.
Does Mickey look like a 2nd round talent to you?
Like CBS said , they thought Mickey would not be there at 33.
Livio Jean Charles was drafted at 27? A few years ago by the Spurs. Mickey looked like a better prospect yesterday
Yes, completely.
He had one good game, one game he sucked BAD, and then yesterday he was okay.
Played great against Utah's bum big men, played terribly against Okafur and played ok against the Spurs D Leaguers/2nd round picks.
He's got good potential for some NBA range, and he's aggressive on defense, but he's got problems on offense around the basket against length and needs some serious polish on his game before we start calling him 'mini bosh' lol.
He looks like an early 2nd round or maybe very late first round pick at this stage. We have no idea what he'll be for another 12 months at least and he'll be lucky to play this season in all likelihood.
I've been more impressed by Rozier and RJ Hunter's shooting started to come to life in the last 2 games which was nice to see. Mickey was good, and VERY good in game 1, but pretty much what I expected in games 2 and 3. Would love to see him add a 3 point shot like Holmes which they'll probably ask him to work on this season in the gym, as well as his footwork around the bakset on offense. He hesitates way too much on offense and is afraid of getting blocked vs length.
