I know this is somewhat unrelated, but I'd challenge the notion that we need to trade for a 3 at all.
1) Even at best, we are a low echelon playoff team with no shot at a title. Thus, upgrading at the 3 isn't really going to change that. So sure, if DA can make a move that makes sense, he should. But he shouldn't overpay or ruin the team's future financial flexibility to do so.
2) The C's already have Turner and Crowder to man the 3. On top of that, like it or not, Stevens will likely trot out a fair amount of 3 guard lineups given that Smart, Thomas, Bradley, and Rozier could all command more minutes than the 2 guard spots can provide. And that isn't even factoring in any impact Young, Hunter, or Jerbenko could have there.
So yes, I'd like a 3, but only if the right one comes along at the right price. Otherwise, I'd rather wait till the deadline or even next summer to address the issue.
