Doc didnt do anything un ethical here.

DJ is a flip flopper. He is the one who screwed the Mavs and wouldnt return Cuban or Parson's phone calls and texts when they heard he was changing his mind. Thats pretty weak. The Clippers just made sure they closed the deal.

I've never been salty about Doc. Sure he had some coaching flaws and Im glad he wasnt our GM, but he also had plenty of strengths. Im not sure many other coaches would have gotten that group to gel so quickly in 07.

He does need to get this Clippers team to a finals though. They have so much talent. Griffin flashed some awesome winning basketball in the playoffs last year, now its on DJ to do the same.

The only person to blame...

Rondo! I bet he called DJ and told him about his experience.  ;D

Yeah! It is Rondo's fault! He told DJ that he cannot be the man to call plays.  ;D

There was nothing unethical done by anybody. Deandre changed his mind and the LA Clippers signed him. Deandre did what was best for him. Nobody should have a problem with this.

This is speculation but I wouldn't be surprised if his agents were pressuring him to sign with Dallas. One of his agents wasn't at the meeting and he also is Parsons agent and has a good relationship with Dallas.

I'm happy for Deandre. Any time a player has more power it's a good thing.

I'm not going to totally believe "reports" because it seems like it was spoon fed from one side and we all know that the media, for some reason, has blind loyalty to Doc. On the other hand, there had to be some reciprocity between DJ and Doc. It's just that the entire situation was over dramatically and immaturely played out (on Dj's end).

I'm just not going to totally believe what's reported, filtered through the Clippers lens.

both have fallen victim to the unethical practices of one Glenn Rivers.

It was not too long ago that the Celtics were working on a deal to trade KG to the Clippers for DJ when Glenn Rivers while still in the employ of the Celtics made it clear to the Clippers who he was negotiating with that DJ to Boston should not happen.

Fast Forward to 2015 DJ after meeting with all teams he wanted to meet with gave a verbal commitment to the Mavericks. Everyone knew at that point that Clippers were TOAST because they did not have a plan B. Once again Rivers without regard to business ethics takes his entire starting five to Houston to court a player that had given a very public commitment to another team. Legal as his acts may have been they do fall beneath the conduct of honorable men.

Anyone that thinks DJ just had a change of heart over the weekend without any prodding or nudging by the Clippers can continue to dwell in the bliss of ignorance.

Felger and Mazz had a good section yesterday talking about how Doc did the same thing here. How he toyed with the players about whether they were coming back or not, signing a 5 year deal and walking two years later, somehow forgetting he was a tv analyst that nobody wanted as a coach until Danny came along and made him the great coach that he appears to be.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

no bitter feelings about Glenn Rivers, just never liked him, not when he was a player, not when he coached the Cs was very happy to see him go.

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I can't stand Doc Rivers.  I've never like him, but he isn't at fault here.
