I was happy to see him find a rhythm yesterday and he was very efficient out there on the floor. I think a JJ Redick/Matt Barnes type would be great for Boston.

Before this juxtaposition spreads further... could someone please explain what JJ Redick and Matt Barnes have in common?

I didn't find something similar as well.

From the Horse's Mouth:
Redick and Barnes are both solid defenders and both shoot 3s at a high clip for their careers.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

He will be in the rotation then if he is hitting his shots and can hold his own in defense he will be a starter someday.

From the Horse's Mouth:
Redick and Barnes are both solid defenders and both shoot 3s at a high clip for their careers.

Barnes is a 34% career 3 point shooter which is serviceable. His defense on the perimeter is solid.
Redick is a 40% career 3 point shooter which is technically elite. His defense on smaller 2 guards and PG is solid.

Looks like he has some promising tools. Bothersome length on defense and potentially elite spot up shooting.

So maybe a high level 3 and D guy is his ceiling.

If his handle and body improve though he can be more. But you dont just magically transform your body when you start as a string bean. It takes maniacal dedication.

Edit: Just to clarify my last point. I know he has a decent handle, but its really all about filling out his body. If he wants to create his own offense in the NBA he needs to be able to use his body in conjunction with his ball handling. He's a good prospect to have though. What a quick release!

He should bring us  Banner #18 at the very LEAST .... ;D

In Hunters defense ......he was required to do And be everything for his college team .  Now he can concentrate FULL time on basketball and hone his skills that will most help his team.......he could get ALOT. Better with 1000's of hours of work .....was Ray Allen's secret ...practice , practice , practice ......every day for hours .

In the NBA .....if he works on his 3 pointer and plays above average D .    Then he has a place .

Mike Miller type future, maybe more ? Interesting prospect to look at 3-4 years down the road when the body fills out more.

I love what RJ Hunter is showing in SL, but he needs to be more efficient from the field and from behind the arc. 3 of 11 and 5 of 15 just aren't going to cut it.

Danny Green seems like the best case for Hunter.

A lot of desperation shots at the end of the shot clock due to a lack of an advanced and truly organized offense. The inefficiency probably won't translate to more organized NBA/D-League teams.

That would be awesome, and at #28, a steal.

He wasn't that bad. 3 of those shots were junkers late in the clock.

They've been doing that since he was in HS. It's funny. Kid's had to deal with everything from outright racism because of being bi-racial to being pigeon-holed as "just a shooter" lol. He's got the stroke of Kyle Korver with the off ball movement of Rip Hamilton and the court smarts of Bobby Hurley I'm telling you when this young man grows into his body and the athleticism catches up with his basketball brainhe will be an all-star. You'll see.
