He'll shoot the lights out in the D-League

Your editor forgot to remove the "D" from your post. I've taken the liberty to improve your chances of being correct.

I doubt he'll play much for the Celtics this year.  He'll light up the D League and hopefully spend a lot of time weightlifting and pounding protein shakes.

Him, Rozier, MIckey and Young will give the Red Claws a serious shot at contending this year.

You're probably kidding, but I would definately buy season tickets if I lived near Portland, ME.
Hunter, Mickey, Holmes, and maybe Young will spend a lot of time there this year.

I expect him to be as good as Clay Thompson.  Seriously.

He reminds me a lot of a shorter Nicolas Batum. Batum struggled early in his career defensively, but once he figure out how to use his length, he became a good defender. But he was always a good shooter. It took Batum his full rookie contract to get used to the size and speed of NBA players, and I think RJ Hunter will take a few years too, but I think he will get there.

If he could one day start and give us 13, 5, and 5, on 40% shooting from three, he would be a perfect compliment to Smart and a really valuable player.

But then, his shot is much quicker than Batum, and he already has the herky jerky movements to get open in small spaces. He needs to get comfortable against NBA defenders, but I could legit see him become a scary three point shooter for defenders to guard, and then that might open him up for more drives and play-making in the lane, similar to how the threat of Curry's three point shooting has made him a deadly driver and play-maker.

He is probably not a superstar, but it is exciting to have a streaky, electrifying shooter on our team.

I was just comparing their measurements on draftexpress and was surprised how well RJ compares to Klay.

Height w/out shoes:  RJ 6'4.5", Klay 6'5.75"
Height with shoes:  RJ 6'6", Klay 6'7.25"
Weight: RJ 185, Klay 206
Wingspan: RJ 6'10.5, Klay 6'9"
Standing reach:  RJ 8'8", Klay 8'7.5"
No step vert: RJ 27.5", Klay 26.5"
Max vert:  RJ 33.5", Klay 31.5"
Max ver reach: RJ 11'5.5", Klay 11'3"
Agility: RJ 10.97, Klay 10.99
Sprint: RJ 3.26, Klay 3.24

While Klay is an inch taller, RJ makes up for that with longer arms.

Klay does have 20 pounds on RJ, but just a year before the combine after his sophomore season, Klay only weighed 190.  He put on 15 pounds during his junior year of college just a year younger than RJ is now.  In the NBA training program, there is no reason Hunter couldn't put on 15 pounds over the next year.

Their athleticism is very comparable.

Their college stats are very similar across the board.  RJ's 3 point shooting was down his junior year, but I think it's understood that is not an accurate reflection of his shooting ability.

At first I scoffed at the Klay Thompson comparison, but it could be fairly accurate.

RJ was raised by a coach, has a high basketball IQ, and supposedly has an excellent work ethic.  It would be outstanding if he reaches Thompson's level and it might not be too far fetched.

rookie season -- expect nothing other than working on his game in the D-league.

after that, would like to see him develop into a consistent threat from outside that can play acceptable D.  would like to see improved ballhandling as well over the course of his career.

I don't know what to expect because he probably won't get a lot of playing time.

Remember, expectations aren't met in 1 year.....if he blossoms early it's only a bonus. He will eventually make a few on this board eat their words and have them buying his jersey!
