Upshaw is getting real physical with Towns right now.  It's great to watch.

What have we got to say about Robert Upshaw now? I told you so, I told you...

He's got potential worth risking, and you're seeing it tonight.

Towns hasn't filled up the box score, but keeps making the right play.  He knows how to play.
I think if Towns has a decent rookie campaign and Lavine, Wiggins and Shabazz improve as well as Pek and Rubio stay healthy (with Martin) the Wolves are going to surprise a lot of people this year

I hope so, for our sake.
looking at how the western teams are shaking out this offseason, provided the Minny players improve/stay healthy this season, I really think they could come close to a playoff spot.  I don't think they'll make it but certainly come in 9th or 10th in the West which would figure to be better than 9th in the East so the pick would convey to us

They have as much talent as any team in the NBA and will be good eventually, it's just a question of how long it takes for the team to gel and the young players to realize their potentials.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

he's not worth the 16 pick that you wanted to use on him.  C's still could have brought him in as a non-roster invitee if they thought he could be salvaged

Lakers could be exciting next year.

PG: Jordan Clarkson, Lou Williams
SG: D'Angelo Russell
SF: Kobe Bryant
PF: Brandon Bass
 C: Roy Hibbert

That guard play will be fun to watch. I hope Kobe's selfishness doesn't suffocate them.

I think Minnesota will be fighting with Sacramento and Dallas for the 10th, 11th and 12th place finish slots in the West. Oh, and Denver fighting for those spots as well.

I have 9 teams ahead of them -- SAS, GSW, OKC, HOU, MEM, LAC, PHO, UTA, NOP

Portland and LA Lakers at bottom of conference.

They'd get in a lot of shoot-outs, because the perimeter defense would be non-existent.

I like Minny over Phx and seriously think they do better than Dallas even with them getting Deron.  Sac could go either way depending on how Rondo fits in with the rest of that roster

Yep. I feel sorry for Hibbert. Terrible perimeter defense + slow footed defensive anchor. Bad mix.

I wish we took him instead of Thornton.  He can play defense and has a mean streak.  In a span of about 1 minute, he blocked a Towns hook shot, hit Towns in the chest with a forearm, and then blocked another Towns shot.

Porzingis looking pretty good already. He needs work, but he could be so good.

Edit: I'm worried to see what happens to him when someone posts up on him though.

Other bigs with decent showings that people on this board salivated over: Cliff Alexander and Dakari Johnson.

As soon as OKC took Dakari Johnson I knew he would end up becoming a decent starting center. OKC is so good at picks like that.
