Solid B so far. It's unfair to grade them on pipe dream scenarios, or to blame the FO for other GM's that were unwilling to trade on draft night. Got to work with the opportunities we have.
First day of free agency and the Celtics signed three low key but solid players to reasonable contracts with a focus on continuity, versatility, character and roster flexibility. Amir is a good player, we're gonna like him. I think we drafted at least 3 intriguing rookies on top of that. The roster overlap isn't the worst problem to have, especially with a coach like Stevens that doesn't think in positions. We're set up to be a better team than last season post-trade deadline, and I fully expect another trade or two in the coming months to sort things out further.
So not a dream start to the offseason, but not a panicky one or one where we're completely left in the cold either. More to come.
