Newsflash:

Amir is a bench player.

Also he is 6'9" 220 lbs. so unless he's playing against me to start every game no way in hell he is starting at center.

I sorta see him in the Bass role if that makes sense.

So Zeller and Johnson to start?

I just can't see Johnson being paid 12 million to come off the bench

Gerald Wallace gets paid $10 million to do nothing.

lol. He has probably the best job in basketball. Maybe in the world

But Danny was forced to take on Wallace contract. He chose to sign Amir

I think Johnson/IT/Olynyk can be lethal all together in the second unit. But you never know.

I think that looks like a nice trio off the bench.  It's just mind numbing to think that the highest player on the team is going to come off the bench lol

As of now there is going to be a minutes problem at the 4/5 spot.  Sully, Olynyk, Jerekbo at the 4.  Johnson and Zeller at the 5.  I would think Sully would play some 5 as well.  Nevermind Mickey.

Of course the minutes problem at guard is even more clouded.

There has to be a trade coming.

Why is the min issue at the guard clouded?

You got

Rozier, AB, IT, Smart, Hunter . You can distribute mins

Young to me is more of a SF

I don't think the Celtics will have a problem with that. They did the same thing with Kris Humphries.

Wikipedia has Johnson at 240 which looks more realistic.  He was probably 220 earlier in his career.

trust me when I say this. Amir is no 220 pound guy. He is at least 240 if not heavier

Also there are rumors that Amir is not really 6'9. At least 6'10 . Look at the pic below.

Patrick PAtterson is a solid 6'9.  Amir looks slightly taller

Turner is more of a guard than SF.  It's basically what we had last year, but replace Pressey with
Rozier who should get a lot more time.  Smart should get more time too.

Sully will be traded..unless JJ or AJ get traded for something bigger. No way Sully is going to want to come off the bench...  Johnson is a PF mostly, and should start with Zeller (who almost always got off to good starts).  Let JJ and KO come off the bench...especially with IT/rozier and Turner there to create spot up chances for both.

Bench:  Rozier or IT, Turner, crowder, JJ, KO...   plenty of rebounding from the wings in this line-up.

AJ will play small ball center IMO... depending on match-ups.   ut we should know by now that a "SET" lineup is not the Brad operates.  If he wants to play the hot hand, he will have alot of options every night.

Amir was 18 when drafted and supposedly grew and inch or two.

I know but you got to look at what position Turner, Young will occupy vs the 5 I have listed

You got 2 guard positions between 5 guys that can only play guard . Min can be distributed

It's going to be tough.  If we were contending, just play the best guys.  But these guys need to be developed.

I agree. But Zeller and Johnson is not an ideal starting unit, especially under CBS.  Johnson can make the mid range shot but he has to be spoonfed the ball. Bass at least could create his shot a little

I don't disagree.

If Sully and AB or Zeller and AB were traded things could "unclog"  a little

But Danny loves AB .
