I think this is a great pick up that everyone will overlook. His game is a perfect fit/mold for the way Stevens plays the game.

It's something, and I've always felt Amir was underused in Detroit and Toronto, but this adds yet another pretty good-but-not-great talent to a glut of them.  We appear, as Hinkie might say, "pregnant with decent players".  Wonder when the shedding starts to happen?

I think so. I think he is an upgrade as a defender & rebounder over T.Zeller. I think Amir should start at center and Zeller should be the backup center. Both guys are superb cutting to the basket and rolling to the rim in PnRs.

On the worrying side, it looked like Amir might have been slowing down last year.

I hope that is not the case and he was just battling injuries. That he will be back to his best next season. Because this is really going to bite if he is on the downward slope and sliding fast.
