Ohh, is Draymond Green going home to Detroit?

That would be a nice story. Great big man combo with D.Green & A.Drummond too. Oh, and Stanley Johnson at SF. I love that frontcourt. Beautiful.

They can but i wonder if they don't wanna pay him max money. I think they want to keep Barnes around as well in the future and he has to get paid soon.

idk, don't you think Green is more valuable especially after the finals...he stepped up big when the warriors needed him the most...that triple dub in game 6...man you know he wants that championship bad...and he proved that he deserved it.

Green did not perform particularly well on offense over the course of the finals. I don't think that it should hurt his negotiations, but mentioning a single game is not a way to gauge someone's performance. GMs need longer memories than that.

I thought his overall Finals performance was pretty bad. His offense was mostly nonexistent, and he committed several dumb fouls.

Yeah, they have some leverage. If other teams are confident that GS will match their offer, they won't bother making an offer to not have their financial flexibility tied up and he will have to just accept a deal with GS. This has happened many times before.

Green might be asking for terms he can't get elsewhere. If GS says know, they might save money just matching.

Insult to Draymond's face if Cavs will give TT 15 million a year but GSW only wants to offer 10 million a season.

I hope the Celts get in on the Green sweepstakes. Offer him 15 million a year.  He is a perfect fit

Then trade Sully and Zeller for a real SF

I guess his near triple doubles for game 5 and 6 didn't mean much

Jackson/Jennings
KCP/Meeks
Johnson
Green/Ilyasova
Drummond

On paper that's pretty sweet.

Rockets next to Howard and Harden is a nice fit for him too.

For the series, Draymond Green shot 26.3% from three and just 43% from two.  He didn't exactly tear it up.  His RB% was just 12.2.  He committed 4.7 fouls a game.

He didn't exactly have a good series and he is at best the 3rd most important player on that team (behind Steph and Klay) and it is arguable he is 6th (behind Iggy, Barnes, and Bogut (who I know didn't play much as a result of the match-up)).  Heck Green was so ineffective defensively on James that Iggy was forced to start and play huge minutes.  Not to mention Tristan Thompson clearly outplayed Green basically the entire series.

Golden State should probably just bite the bullet and pay the man, but I can't say I blame them all that much either.

His scoring was downright horrible for first half of the series. It looked like he lost all confidence in his jump-shot. Shot 30% from the floor and made only 1/8 from three point range.

Redeemed himself with the last 3 game. Shot the ball better (48% FG%, 36% 3), did a great job passing the ball (7apg) and provided his usual quality work defensively and on the boards.

Still he had a near tripple double  game 5 and 6. Plus all season long was huge. Without Green you think they would of still won?
