That's not good for Atlanta, the chip goes through LBJ in the east, gotta have a few guys to give him any type of good resistance. A healthy Carroll gave them that, defensively and scoring.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Toronto still need to fix their big man rotation.

Amir Johnson and Jonas Valanciunas are a good combination in terms of defense & rebounding but they lack offensive integrity. They need to replace one of them with a more skilled big man. Presumably Amir since he is older and a free agent.

I don't see how they manage to pull that off though.

I think they should be exploring trade opportunities with Jonas Valanciunas. Not wild about how he has developed. Seems to have gone the other way from a defender/rebounder to a primarily offensive orientated player. Lost a fair bit of mobility since adding the weight he needed to gain to play against post players in the NBA.
I'm pretty sure Amir is gone with what they just signed Carroll to.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Wow, what a bad start for the Hawks losing both Carroll and maybe Millsap :o!
Hate how all the other teams are closing deals while C's are so passive...

Hawks add Splitter though. Will be interesting to see what happens next for them.
Yeah Splitter is definitely an exciting acquisition since Horford finally gets to play PF instead of C.

Personally I'd rather have Carroll and Millsap though, but it's going to be fun to see how Hawks will fare next season ;D!

Is this a sign that Toronto is not going to blow it up?  Seems like a big contract for a guy who's mainly a complementary piece.

Could make it easier for them to shop Derozan and / or Ross.

Say crowder signs a contract making 7 mil per year and we match... suddenly our 23 mil in cap space becomes 16 mil.

*sigh*
