David Aldridge @daldridgetnt
An under the radar free agent will be Dallas' Al-Faroqu Aminu. Sked to visit NYK, BOS, POR, TOR & NOP, w/Mavs still in mix.

Like him a lot ,  he was very solid in the playoffs . after Tobias Harris and PP , he is probably the best sf available . Still want to sign Crowder though .

Quick! Offer him a max! Finally have someone scheduled to visit us. Might as well pay them for doing so.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Solid player.

Im not sure if we should use our cap room for another role player, but I'd be happy to have him for cheap. Good, active kid who had a good Playoff run.

Asing as it's cheap, why not? We needed depth at the SF spot anyway.

PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
This would be a very underwhelming signing - especially if it is for more than one year. We need to maintain cap flexibility not sign players without any star potential whatsoever.

Do we, though? Turner, Crowder, Young, Wallace all are SFs. I guess I understand it if we lose Crowder, but not until the end of FA.

Well, to defend myself. I counted Turner at SG and Young could not be ready just yet.

I thought it was a team option and Ainge already said they would pick it up.

Not, it's a QO with makes Crowder a restricted free-agent.

If we are already scheduled to meet more role players like Aminu, I guess it may mean we already gave up on the good free agents out there and are ready to spend some of our cap space on lesser guys.

That's not how things work, but sure, let's go with that.
