Seeing as though we need to dump some guards anyway, What's a fair package? Bradley plus picks? More? What would Orlando take if they don't want to match a Max salary.

The fair package is to not S&T him at all.

Wallace and a 1st round pick if anything.

Turner and Bradley plus picks we could even give the a Power Forward, what else would it take.

The equivalent of a late lottery pick (#7-12 range).

I hate players like Tobias Harris. He is so OVERRATED! People think hes so good because of the stats he puts up, but he was on the 5th worst team last season and he was playing along side a borderline all star in Nikola Vucevic and he had some other decent players like Oladipo and Payton. I really really hope we don't sign him.

Why S&Td?

I say just make Harris our best offer and if Orlando matches then move onto someone else

Give them sully or someone. Not too much, considering the contract is a max.

I'd much rather have Harris than that moron Evan Turner. Plus Harris is a far better player than you are giving him credit for.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Nick seemed to indicate that a s&t was not possible since Harris is a restricted free agent (whereas we could do one with guys like Love and Aldridge, although the contract could still only be for four years). This was news to me, but if true, it kind of makes this thread moot.

He is better than Evan Turner but hes definitely not worth 15 mil even with the new TV deal coming up imo. I think we should keep turner for now just because Marcus Smart isn't very good at running a team yet, but once he becomes more and more comfortable at point then I think it will be time to trade Turner.

I don't think that's true. What I think is true is that you can't sign-and-trade someone who has signed an offer sheet.

I would do something like Turner, Wallace and a first. Since trading Wallace would help us out and I don't want Turner to be the main ball handler regardless of the lineup next year.

I would be completely fine signing him to a max offer sheet then living with it if they match.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Actually most people think he is extremely underrated.  A 22 year old putting up 18 a game, who doesn't require the ball in his hands a ton, with position versatility, and with a high shooting percentage do not come along very often.

Please read this:  http://www.basketballanalyticsbook.com/2015/05/06/the-nbas-most-underrated-player/

In addition his teammates rave about his work ethic which would rub off on our young players, I can't believe someone is saying he is not worth a max.  He is clearly worth the max, the question is whether Orlando is really going to let him walk or not and is he really interested in Boston.  He would be my first call at midnight when free agency begins, with Monroe being the next.
