I agree.
When you go through the list of free agents -- Gasol, LMA, Love, Monroe -- and then the list of teams who will be vying for their services -- NY, LA, DAL, SA, POR, BOS -- I don't see the Celtics being at the top of the list for any of the free agents.
Well I think for anyone other than Monroe, you can scratch off NY. They are a mess and I can't see anyone choosing to go there.
Dallas' future isn't looking so bright. One or two years left of Dirk and most of those guys are 4's anyway so, I don't buy going there.
SA can get one guy and they are going to have to shave some people to do it. I don't see Love going there. LA might but SA is going to have to pay Kawi big bucks.
Gasol you'd have to say stays in Memphis although you'd have to think they are max'd out in the Western Conference. The White Mamba said Boston is one of Gasol's favorite cities. Maybe he sees greener pastures elsewhere. Chance of getting him small but not impossible.
If LaMarcus goes to LA, then Love would seem to be out there. DeAndre Jordan might also go to LA, does LaMarcus want to play with him? Does Love? Maybe.
Cleveland doesn't seem like a fit for Love, Lebron apparently isn't all that interested in him coming back. Then who is left for Love?
If either Love or Gasol do chose Boston, then the other becomes even more likely. Sure we will have to throw a draft pick away to get someone to munch Wallace's contract for us but I'm sure someone will.
So I don't think it is impossible, I also don't think it is more than 50%.
