looks like danny was as underwhelmed by Smart's rookie campaign as I was.

But I don't think this means we'll dump him.  It means we'll try to combine him with a bunch of other assets and get a superior prospect like Noel or Embiid.

Good luck, Danny.

He says 'league sources believe...'. so it's a hunch, because they drafted a similar player. Nothing to see here.

I'm really surprised that some don't think that Danny would shop Smart..c'mon he's shopped EVERYONE . Smart may be one of the few  valuable, tangible assets we have and Danny may want to see what he can get.

or perhaps danny knows he is celtics most valuable player and is the only player he can trade to get a big return.

Stop thinking one dimensional.

League sources believe that the Celtics will continue shopping Marcus Smart, especially after they drafted Terry Rozier No. 16 last night.

Uh oh were not done wheeling and dealing yet

Not done? Nothing has even started yet.

This is stupid, Smart and rozier (if he is NBA talent) could easily play together they have almost no similarity at all other than they both can D-up.

I like others would LOVE to get Noel and would trade anyone on the roster for him at this point and include picks.

Smart should not be getting shopped at all

If the Celtics want to trade for a star, Smart needs to be on the table as a potential asset.  Saying that Smart should not be getting shopped at all means that you think the Celtics should not be interested in trading for any star who becomes available.

True, but the same things were said last year about Rondo after the team drafted Smart, and it turned out to be correct.

Maybe Marcus Smart is closer to Marcus Banks.  :)

No offense, but the Marcus Smart = Marcus Banks/Banks 2.0 comparison wasn't funny (or relevant) the 30th time it was posted.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

It turned out to be correct after an offer at a long contract from Ainge and a very disappointing and underwhelming start to the season.

That said, as far as Rondo goes, no doubt he was shopped around. I think Ainge's price for him was quite high last Summer, which is why nothing got done in the end.

The Rozier selection would make sense if Smart or Bradley or both gets traded. I just hope it's not for more picks. If were letting go of Smart (with other assets), it better be an All Star player in return.

At this point, Danny has and should be shopping every guard in the lineup. We can't have too many of them.

Why is noone talking about IT being shopped? His contract is nice and he can easily put up 20ppg.
