Not sure how i feel about it. The thing convincing me if we were to get him is that Brad would probably get even more out of him. Seems like he can score multiple ways and from some highlights is fairly clutch.

No, no, no. Let me repeat: stay away from nonbo forwards.

Forgive me, but what does "nonbo" mean in this context?

I think it's an antonym for "combo".  Meaning instead of playing both F spots competently, he can't play either.

Well, he can play both forward spots better than average -- on offense.

On defense, it's a different story, but would he really be that much worse than Olynyk or Sullinger at the 4, or Turner at the 3?  At least he's above average at something, and he provides a scoring punch with size on the wing that the Celts desperately lack.

Kind of similar skillset to Green, sure, but his outside shooting seems better, he has a stronger post-up game if I'm not mistaken, and he's able to shoulder an offensive load much more consistently than Green, who was always poorly cast a lead offensive option rather than an opportunistic complementary piece.
Is he much worse than Sully or KO defensive at the 4? No. Is he much worse than Turner at the 3? Absolutely.

With how Young he is, and his scoring upside I think he would be a great addition even if he needs to be hidden on defense. More importantly he can develop into a quality asset we could eventually trade for a star.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Grab Harris and Monroe and call it an off-season (unless Cousins becomes available).

That would be even better than my Harris and Lopez plan, except Monroe will command a max contract as well, and the C's don't currently have room for two of those.
We could easily sign both Monroe and Harris if we could move both Turner and Wallace without taking salary back. That would involve attaching draft choices to each, probably a 2nd with Turner and a 1st with Wallace. If we sign these two offensively gifted, but defensively challenged players, we would desperately need a rim defender like Koufos, Biyombo, or Asik to cover for their inadequacies. There would probably be enough cap space left to sign Koufos or Biyombo, maybe, but we would have to sign and trade for Asik by trading Bradley. This would be a really productive offseason for us and would make up for a kind of disappointing draft night.

Well, yeah, good players cost money. You can keep seeking out the value signings of the likes of Avery Bradley and Evan Turner and settling on 7-10 seed, 30-40 win teams if you want, though.

People keep saying Avery Bradley is overpaid.

Those people also seem to think that you can pay professional athletes with Trident Gum instead of real money.

Alex Kennedy: I’ve heard that Tobias Harris could be obtainable. If a team (like Boston) makes a large enough offer, I think Orlando could let him walk.

if we signed Tobias Harris for 4/$50 Mil..Offer sheet---would Orlando match--?.....we could stretch Wallace, and be able to sign a Max guy too.

Given Harris will be a max contract guy for exactly one year and then his contract will devalue due to the next two anticipated cap increases, why not try to sign him away from Orlando?

Also remember people, he is a restricted free agent. No sign and trades with RFAs.

Cant believe we keep hearing "he isnt the SF to push us over the top"

Really?  Then who is... and can we get him for 100 dollars?

Other than Lebron, Butler, and Leonard, (all of which are not coming here) who DO we spend money on. Its not just one guy. You also sign Monroe and then your role players will be GREAT role players (who have already stepped up bigtime when forced to do more at the end of last season)

For crying out loud we gotta quit WAITING for people who we cant get, and start acting.

Let's say the Celts sign him to an offer sheet, can the Celts then negotiate a deal with the Magic to not match it?

Seems like, if the Magic have only two choices -- sign him or let him walk for nothing -- they've got to sign him and then explore trading him later.

TP.  One of our picks will hit eventually anyways, we should just sign efficient FAs if nobody wants to trade with us anymore and hope we draft a major piece along the way

I think Harris would fit in perfectly---we'd have to move some salary around after signing him...Orlando turned down giving him like $11 Mil a year...Ainge would still have to make a trade or two---and Sign a MAX guy like Monroe if he could...we'd be a pretty good YOUNG Playoff team--On the rise in the east---with LeBron getting older.

No, the Celtics can not send anything the Hornets way so that they don't match the offer sheet. That isn't allowed. Also if Orlando matches they can not trade Harris for one year without his consent and can't trade Harris to the the Celtics during that year.
