Since the draft is more than just Rozier, I'd give it a C+.  Individually, I'd say: Rozier - D+, Hunter - B, Mickey - B, Thornton - C

Overall to me it's a B-.  Rozier doesn't fit a need and wasn't even the BPA he gets a C grade.  Portis should have been the pick.  This is only a good pick if there's a trade being set up for one of our guards.

Hunter is an A pick.  You get the best shooter in the draft that low in the first and it's a need.

Mickey is a good pick, he fills a need (shot blocker) and has some upside.  B

Thornton is an Inc.  I don't know much about him and at that spot I would have taken a flyer on Upshaw, Dakari Johnson or Wood or a European stash guy.

I think if Hunter was pick at 16, Mickey at 28 and rozier at 33, ppl might like this draft  ;)..but I still would pick Portis at 16

Honestly, I'd have to wait to see how things shake out.  Who knows, Ainge might already have Bradley ready to go in a deal.  I wanted Portis, but liked Rozier before the draft, (pat on the back for mentioning him as one of the few players I liked BEFORE the pick), but getting Mickey kind of minimizes the need for Portis.

If we land a big in free agency, or get a wing like Harris, then this draft looks totally different.  If you draft a big early, I think it kind of says you aren't in the market for a big.  Maybe Ainge already knows he didn't need a versatile scoring big in the draft so Portis didn't make sense.

I wanted a trade up, but when MJ fell in love with Kaminsky, MIA and IND were not going to trade and my targets were gone. Love stinks.

After that, it's who you like really. Rozier wasn't on my radar, but he wouldn't make it to 28 as 7 PGs went by pick 24. Still C+ for picking him vs Portis. A- for Hunter. B for Mickey. Both were higher in mocks. Don't know much about Thornton, but it's a B- off the tape I saw and it's #45.

B- overall.

D. Not a total failure because some of these guys may actually see the floor for an NBA team at some point. But let's be real here. There is no way that the Celtics were shooting to add four middling prospects onto a team chock full of them last night. They were desperately trying to make something happen to land WCS, Turner, Kaminsky, Winslow, even Oubre and utterly failed.

So since the essentially completely failed in reaching their objectives but managed to salvage something out of it, D.

Should have traded up and drafted less guards and not have drafted a PF. They are also around 21-22 old, not the best age. But the players are good.

Rozier can ball. (and good we avoided Portis, Dekker and other traps, but sad for missing Oubre for 1 pick)
Hunter good shooter , maybe will get (close to) Martin or Curry level.
On the second round some good athletes, and as they say you can't teach athleticism, maybe they'll improve in other areas enough to be good, but it shouldn't be expected to get a star in here, less then 5% probability.

Grade B to C
Goal for next season: Top 2 seed.
Say goodbye to: Turner, Zeller, Sully.

Just use the scrubs to tank the year .....save Zeller and Smart,  sell off Sully and KO ,  let the rest walk and add a few D league bigs to function as a team......like NY Knicks and Lakers .

Do this three years in  row and good to go .  Bound to land ONE elite player like a Parker or Wiggins eventually.

Rozier - D
Hunter - B-
Mickey - B
Thornton - C

Weighting the higher picks more than the later ones, I'd give Ainge a C.
