There must be a trade, I agree. If not this is worse than JJJ, and right there with Fab.

Mickey may be our best pick of the night. Honestly hoping (dry-heeve) for Upshaw at 45 now.

Hozier was projected in the 2nd round in some of the mocks I read.   He's been a Celtic for about an hour... I imagine a lot of people here now think he's untradeable.  Lol.

It was a bust of a draft.  No doubt.   Wouldn't Hozier have been three at #28?  Why not just trade down?  Do something?  There's no way to look at this as a success... but perhaps with time we'll learn to love our back-up back-up back-up point guard.

It's funny... I made threads this offseason.  One where I suggested trading #16 for Anthony Bennett.  Another where I suggested trading #16 for Nik Stauskas.   Reaction was pretty negative.  How confident are you guys that Hozier is going to have a better career than either of those guys??

As predicted, Ainge strikes out again:

TP for the video.

I'm just tired of Ainge promising fireworks and then shrugging his shoulders every offseason when he strikes out or lights a sparkler. Yes Ainge we know it's a steep price to trade for a great player or trade high into the lottery. If you dont want to blow your proverbial pick load on an allstar then what are we doing? You're fine with not tanking and getting a mid teens pick every year I guess. Yeah that works great for the Nuggets and Suns every year.

I'm going to be such a raging pro-tanker next season it's not even funny. Maybe if the Nets AND us are bad Ainge can stumble into an actually good player. Instead of overweight/longhaired/undersized scrubs who he apparently covets.

It's always funny when Soap watchers get upset at things happening on the show as if it's real. And I really laugh when fans get caught up in things they think/hope happens in the off season, and when it doesn't, they're upset.

Do what I do... Sit back and wait, and then after the off season is over, then you can criticize.
Just because you draft a top 3 pick and give up everyone on your team to do it, does not mean that pick will pan out. Heck, the greatest player in the world "allegedly" could not take Cleveland anywhere at all, he needed to go to Miami with 3 other all-world players to get championships.
I agree... way too early to judge this until we see the big picture.  We still have a Bismack Biyombo max contract signing on the way.  There's still hope.

Ainge will just continue to collect assets and hope something comes along. C's need a piece this season before the salary cap goes up. It's anyone's guess what happens because the C's will need a lot of luck. Something they haven't had in a long time which is evident by today.

Forget luck. Create your own luck.

Bennett - fairly. Inflated contract, lack of desire, weight issues with Bennett. Rozier gamble represents better value for money at a marginally less logjammed position

Stauskas - about even. Bit too early to tell whether Stauskas can improve on his rookie year

I don't like the pick, but throwing him under the bus before he's even played?

No silver ling in his picks ...they are nearly worthless crap shots tonight.....waste of human effort and time ..

Just horrible picks, no decent trades...

And I'll get Danny does not get even ONE star free agent to sign this summer

More of Wycs all talk .....no action show ....

Let's get a decent GM and plan in place soon.

Continue to be blind on how the NBA works. If you think for a second Boston could have traded for a high pick your nuts.

There are few Stars in any draft. You think a team is going to trade back and miss out on possibly drafting the next Curry or Lebron.

I will say this, there is enough cap room to sign 2 max free agents. If Ainge doesn't sign 2 top tier players, then I'll be on board with finding another GM.
That is the only way this team gets good.

You're not seeing the forest through the tree's.

Another team or even two, must like 1 or 2 of our guards. Because there's not enough minutes available to add 2 more guards, not with the guards we already have, and their demand for minutes.

This can't stay like this.

Feel really stupid about my earlier, emotionally reactive posts this evening. I apologize.

Embarrassingly, DA proved me wrong by selecting a PG at 45. Fills a major need.

That's hard to do with no one wants to trade for what you have. Ainge won't overpay we all know that.

Or they want what Danny doesn't to give up.
