grabbed this nugget off rotoworld, so sorry for no link, plus i'm running late.

The Lakers and Kings have exchanged framework of a trade centered around DeMarcus Cousins, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Well, the NBA world gets one more juicy rumor before what is shaping up to be a wild Thursday. In this report, the Lakers would deal Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle and the No. 2 pick in the draft. The Kings are also expected to try and unload Carl Landry (wrist). In other news, Cousins said he "absolutely" wants to stay in Sacramento on Twitter Thursday night.

I'm guessing a lot of kings fans will be unhappy if they trade their perennial all star and top 5 talent to the team they hate the most. Not a smart move by managment if they're trying to get a stronger fan base.

Agreed. It's like Nash bolting to the Lakers or Ray Allen leaving for the Heat, except this time it'll be the Kings management that betrays their own fanbase.

The Lakers' offer is weak anyway...Clarkson, Randle and the #2 pick? All are unproven commodities. And that #2 pick might end up being Okafor, who looks like a bad fit next to Randle. Denver's offer of Faried + Lawson is the better offer for the Kings, at least for me.

That was my first thought. There's no way they do that deal as written.

my thought as well.  very weak offer.  if Sac accepted that deal for Cousins, the league should step in and investigate the front office for taking a payoff.   If that's all it took to get Cousins, Danny could outdo that without breaking a sweat.

In my head I can imagine Kobe and Cousins in a fist fight because Kobe wouldn’t pass the ball.

What if all these rumors being leaked to media is some strange plan by the Kings to drive up the price to the Celtics and other teams even though they have no intention on sending him to the Lakers? I just find it hard to believe that Kings management would send a top 5 NBA talent in Cousins to their most hated team for the #2 pick (which is obviously valuable), a rookie that was  hurt all last year, and another rookie (that was picked in the 2nd round) whoes stats were probably inflated by playing on a p--- poor team.

Just trying to think outside the box.

Again Sac be crazy to turn down #2 pick, Randle, and Clarkson for Cousins..but trading him to ur rival in same division is difficult..and another thing, Divac may not care cause he was a Laker..Remember West trading Gasol to LA from Memphis for nothing
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

I think Memphis and LA is different than Sacramento and LA considering the history and location.

I hope that Lakers team implodes, especially with Kobe still on the team. I hope Cousins pull a Howard on them

Worth noting that the Suns traded Nash to the Lakers (and made out like bandits, all things considered).

The front office should be fired if they took that little for Cousins --> 2 defensively-challenged college players in the front court (1 having lost a full season to injury) and a mediocre guard with 1 year of experience that posted better numbers than a player of his level would on a decent team.

C's could top that fairly easily.
-Smart>>>Clarkson (regardless of meaningless ROY voting)
-Sully or KO > Randle (LA hopes Randle turns out to be as good as either of them)
- #2 (Okafor) --> C's have multiple firsts to offer including 3 projected gems from the imploding Nets not to mention Zeller and/or Young as other good young assets.

I don't think danny can make a better offer. Lakers have the #2 pick with Okafor sitting there to replace Cousins. Also, you get Clarkson and Randle and can offload Carl Landry and that atrocious  contract. What do you think Danny can offer that is better?

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.
