Cleveland remains the frontrunner to sign Love to a five-year, $100M-plus extension, but Love could be willing to hear out Celtics, Lakers.

in my opinion if Love signs a long term contract with Cleveland he will be traded between next deadline and the following, lots of the push from Cleveland may be just to not lose him for nothing and at that point love won't be able to control his destiny.  I'd leave or do S&T

After his relatively disappointing season Love may not ever be offered $100/5 again, and a S&T would be a lot of money left on the table for someone who could very easily turn into this generation's Amar'e Stoudimire.

There's not a reporter who is any closer to Kevin Love than Adrian Wojnarowski.  Both times over the last 5-6 years when Love has spoken to a reporter for an exclusive, including venting his original frustration at Minnesota in December 2011 - it has been to Woj himself.  Woj is closer to Love than anyone.

In other related but unrelated news, Woj dropped this news nearly 1 hour after Marc Stein's original report about Love opting out and attached Paul Pierce to his story on Love.  Who's Paul Pierce's agent? Who's Kevin Love's agent? (yes, they both share the same agent - Jeff Schwartz.)

What to watch for: Boston has been pumping the value of their draft choices for the last few days - even using their official Twitter account to tweet an Ainge quote about wanting to move up.  I think it's very likely Boston moves up however if the Celtics use those picks tomorrow night to trade Gerald Wallace - I think it's very likely that the scenario Woj has laid out can feasibly happen.

Does Love want to win or would he rather be somewhere that would enable him to become the number one option again? His agent would likely recommend the latter since putting up big numbers is what leads to a big contract, and he certainly would not achieve those numbers with Lebron and Irving dominating the ball. Also, Lebron is selfish and a bad teammate. No respect for the coach and completely self-absorbed which isn't respectable, no matter how good you are.

Just another idea.  Instead of trying to sign Robin Lopez, have the Celtics call the Pacers.  Do a trade with Wallace and KO maybe the 45th pick for Roy Hibbert.  Take the money and spend it else where for other players.  We still get a solid true center, and have money to spend as Wllace and KO's contracts almost equal out to Hibbert.  Also since I'm taking a guess Love wouldn't want to play with KO.

Love, Lopez, and Pierce is a pretty sad version of a new Big 3. 
 

Now, if Danny can get any two of the following, then it will be time to start planning for a playoff run:
Cousins, Aldridge, MGasol, Milsap, Deandre, K Leonard, Butler

Very sad version of Big 3...more like Big 2, KLove and Pierce is half of his old self and RLopez is just a half.
