They want a playmaker

Evan Turner would work

Evan Turner isn't the level of player they want.

I really don't think that is a super appealing package a late first and cap space. Am I wrong? It seems like the 76ers could have offered this package all of last season. I am not sure what sort of playmaker there is out there that a team wouldn't want and would give away for a late 1st and salary relief.

I have no idea why the C's would be involved in this.  I mean we are looking to turn our picks into players at this point.  The cavs are going to be pretty good for the next couple of years so that pick is going to be late 1st round.

Only on the chance that we landed a big fish and wanted cap space to sign big fish #2 would we be interested in this right?

The article makes it sound like CAVS 1st this year which is like 24th... assuming we could make a deal we could then waive Hayward before the August deadline saving more cap space and add a third 1st to package to move up in the draft?

Interesting....

My guess is if the cabs had interest in making this sort of deal with the celtics they would have Isaiah Thomas in mind. Seeing as we just traded a late first round and an expiring for him at the deadline that's not going to happen. Avery Bradley is an interesting options rom our perspective. but they are looking at facilitators. AB is a 3 & D player and not much more to this point.

I would make the deal for AB because it would free up cap space and give us ammo to trade up.

SCREW the Cavs---nobody in this league should help them....they got ENOUGH help last time around.....or maybe we should just re-do the lottery, and give them the #1 pick again.

Bradley would definitely work.

Why is Cleveland looking for facilitators? They have LeBron and Kyrie. They need defense in their backcourt to play alongside Irving. Delly had a good playoffs, but he's not ready to start on a great team. Bradley is a major upgrade to JR Smith - he can provide defense while having the same impact on offense (if not better - think of the open shots he'd get).

Now that I'm thinking about it, Bradley would be overpaying. If the goal is to move up in the draft, just give them next years pick. And why would we want to help out Cleveland if they will be our main competition in the East for the next 5+ years.

I just don't see why this would be of interest to the Cs. We already have cap space and we don't need another late first rounder.

if someone is offering the cavs a more-than-decent player (like AB-level) for a scrub and a late draft pick, why don't we offer up one of our end-of-bench players and one of our draft picks?

I'm good with trading AB but I'd want to use him to trade up into the top 10 not to pick up an additional late 1st.
