I was going to write that it's disappointing that Martin's 3pt% dropped from 33% to like 29% and I'm a little dubious he can guard SFs, but then I realized we'd be drafting him 28th and that is crazy.  I actually like a lot of the guys around there, really glad we are getting one of Martin, Hernangomez, Wood or RJ Hunter and Brad Stevens for Doc.  That's a great deal right there.

I don't get the Martin love? Short in height and length for defending the 4, where he'd play, but not elite offensively either.

Anecdotal, but watched him play against Kentucky, and he really impressed me.

Is Oubre redundant of Young? Seems similar in size, athleticism. I have not seen him play, so have no opinion of his game. Know he was touted highly going into freshman year and under performed.

Here's how you could beat out Morey in the second round: swap our 16 and 45 picks with Houston for their 18 and 31.  I would pick as follows:

18 (from Houston) Justin Anderson
28 (from Clippers) Jordan Mickey or Richaun Holmes
31 (from Houston) Robert Upshaw
33 Pat Connaughton

These picks all have size and athleticism for their positions, and with the exception of Upshaw, have high motors and play stout defense.  I personally don't think Upshaw will make it in the NBA, but perhaps a non-guaranteed contract would motivate him to clean up his act.

So let me understand things here.  You think you can outsmart Morey, the GM of the Rockets by trading with him to get the 32nd pick?  Now keep in mind he knows that if he wants Upshaw and at #32 he won't have to provide guaranteed money and can get him.  Keep in mind he also knows that the Celts have some sort of interest.  Sorry, but no GM is that dumb especially not Morey

This is not a problem. Danny and he will talk before Danny picks at 28. If Morey hedges on whether he likes Ups at 32, Danny takes him at 28, assuming he likes him.  Yes, guaranteed, but not for that much in the scheme of things. Plus can lock him in longer to give him a chance to develop and get straightened out.

No analyst with any credibility is saying Upshaw has even a slight chance to be drafted in the first, check out Woj, Steve Kyler, Stein, Ford, etc.  Many have said that he probably won't even be drafted due to Major issues  yet you think that we will pick him if necessary and that Morey will let it somehow slip that he's interested in Upshaw so Danny can pick him at 28?  That is after he makes a bad trade to move up 2 spots in the first?  Man I've got some swampland to sell you also....
