Miles Turner - Knees fine medically, he's dramatically improved running and explosiveness, and looked to be in great condition.

Good news about Turner. Sounds like a guy who should rise on draft day.

Maybe knock WCS back enough for Ainge to trade up and get him.

Does Turner go over WCS now?

Turner has higher upside, but less likely to contribute right away and lower floor.

No. I don't think so.

OMG! He never misses!

He also never jumps that high on his jumper, think that will fly in the NBA?

I was kidding a little. I'm not high on him, I'm not interested at all really.

Myles Turner is all I have been talking about since I knew we were making the playoffs. "Avery for Turner", I've probably said that about 30 times or more. If he moves up I think we should go after him: Avery and ET for #9 maybe. Also I think we should still grab Upshaw somewhere in the first.

Turner is such a special player and will have the best shot after a year or so out of all the bigs in this draft. He shoots better from the ft line than Brandon Bass and has a unique touch on his jumper that I have not seen in awhile from a big man. How other people could not see his value is beyond me.

I also have the same problem with my hips and running that he does.....its correctible in many cases. I am just afraid on missing out on this kid. IMO he will be a beast because he already has the touch that almost all big men lack but he has the ability to get better athletically.....thats scary.

He is a true 2 way player and can play the 4 no problem. After a year or 2 he should be running perfectly and have a great foundation to add athleticism.

If the player your describing is true, why doesn't he go in the top 5??

Turner will be a bust imo.   Ok maybe not bust but not as good as people will think he will become.

On a 6-11 player? Sure thing.

Well he was ranked number one in his class for a very long period. The big things that hurt him was how he was misused by his coach(who was fired) and his running.

I understand why you dislike him from reading your posts and I can respect your opinion. My opinion is that if he was on a dif college team he would be taken in the top 10 right off the bat maybe top5. This is good for us. I pray we do trade up to get him. I'd love to trade player/s for the pic that gets him so we can still trade down or select Upshaw.

BTW my thinking is that we are going to be a lottery team for the next 2 years and go into more of a youth movement. Next year is packed with 3's and the 2017 draft has some great players....yes I love researching prospects.

Yes a legit 6'11'' and with his 7'4'' wingspan and 9'4'' standing reach he should be ok. But just so you know he is tightening up his shot and improving it.  Go and look at his jumper from hs and look at it in his draft videos recently...its gotten better and his gate is better.

The big thing, so far as I can tell, is that he lacks the elite athleticism that teams normally look for in a big man selected in the top five.  It's not just running, but also jumping, which people may not realize, given Turner's skill as a shot-blocker.  The lateral quickness is a concern.  He has some history with foot/ankle injuries, which seems to be a red flag that sends some posters here running for the hills.

Turner may turn out to be something special, but I think it hinges upon so-called intangibles.  He may have the mental makeup that allows him to become significantly better than what he is projected to be likely to end up as, based on his physical abilities.
