here's some reasons not to like him, he's physical and really athletic but he averages a career 3.5 rebounds per game also  he averaged less than nine points per game  in his career,  and shot .430%  he had one good year shooting the three, but only 1.8 spg, and the other two years were under 30% he's also a junior, Crowder has more Upside IMO.
I'm not so sure its easy to be so precise as to who has more upside when comparing a college junior to an NBA pro. More importantly, why not just have both on our team? Anderson should be able to play some 2. I expect both players to improve.

Big fan. Was surprised to not have heard this rumor earlier. I'd argue he has plenty of upside, and I'd argue, at our draft positions upside becomes less relevant.

The Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls have also expressed very high interest in Justin Anderson, according to league sources.

Justin Anderson still has several workouts planned, but heard Lakers informed him if he's unlikely still available at 27, they'll draft him.

He def won't be there at 27.   I'm ok with Anderson at 16.  NBA ready.

Bulls trying to get insurance in case Butler walks.

Butler can't walk because he's a RFA and the Bulls have already said numerous times they will match any and all offers...

So they say

They don't need to say.  There is pretty much no good reason for them not to match any offer sheet.  Only an unrealistic idiot could come up with a plausible scenario where the Bulls let Butler walk because they don't want to match an offer.

I'll break this algorithm. It was hard, but this means we are not interested in Justin Anderson.

yeah... taking draft rumors at face value is a great way to be hopelessly misled.

But his rebuilt 3 was over 45%  this year on 6.3 attempts per 40, pace adjusted.(4.0 per game).

Because of his lockdown defensive ability, Anderson is the one player in the bottom half of the first round that I could see getting 20+ minutes a game.  Anyone think he wouldn't be a huge upgrade over Evan Turner at SF/SG?

From the clips shown and comments in the thread, he certainly wouldn't be a disaster. Seems the kind of player who you know will make the switch to the NBA, has a skill set that suits the way the game is being played and would develop under CBS.

The upside is hard to measure, could be solid or develop into an important asset? I don't think there is a downside.
