I don't think us as a fan base really want to wait 3 years to get a shot at the title. Id stick with Bradley, he is more of a leader of our team now, mainly a reason as to why we made the run late in the season.

We will be lucky to root for a team that looks like it might have the necessary pieces to one day grow into a contender any time in the next three years.

I'm really not sure why people think rebuilding is going to be simple, quick, and linear.  Almost never works that way.

  • Celtic's only raise championship Banners
How about this..
Trade Avery for Myles Turner
Trade IT, take back JC, include Sully, and ET  for the 4th pick=one of the top 3 if they fall, Mudiay, Kristaps.

Then I would draft Robert Upshaw. We would still have more picks in the draft. one guy I would like to take for a project is george de paula, but later on. Rakeem xmas and Dakari are also on my list.

Then for the next 2 years we can focus on drafting in the top 8 and player development. After that I'd say we would be improved. Or maybe we would be better of right away with just Turner and Upshaw.

Another person I have my eye on is Brandon Ingram in next years draft.

Would you trade bradley for stanley johnson?
Would you trade sullinger for myles turner?
Lets say we can get those guys with those trades.. are we a better team? No
could we have more potential maybe... maybe in 2-3 years..
i think the celtics and especially the celtics fans do not apreciate bradleys and sullys value.... riley and bird would do these trades at once... but they are smart to get even more...
Better players that cost less money? Yeah I'd do it. AB and Sully aren't exactly the reasons the Celts got to the playoffs. AB is arguably one reason. But it was a bunch of guys. Coach Stevens. Jae Crowder, IT, Zeller, Smart, Evan T, Jerebko.

I would happily exchange anybody on the Celtics roster, with the possible exception of Marcus Smart, for a player who I believed had a significant chance of becoming a legitimate star player.

If Ainge and Co. see a player available in this draft who fits the bill, I hope they do whatever is necessary to be in a position to draft him.

Sully maybe doesn't have much potential left but he is already a very productive NBA 4.  And he is 22.  Leaving his health/condition issues aside (I would not be surprised if he is trade for these reasons specifically)...he was probably the best all-around player on the C's last year.

You only trade him if you are getting pack someone who you know projects to a higher production (i.e. Okafor).

You completely ignore his lack of effort on D and inability to play NBA level defense.   Coach Stevens did not feel this way, when he said he was not going to sacrifice our defensive integrity when Sullinger returned.   Also, I consider very productive to be much better than he brings to the table and a higher shooting percentage.   Perhaps productive but the "very" is hyperbole on your part.
