You know your being dumb right. I'll take Pierce over Dirk all day. I told you I'm betting on Americans first. Are you mad we took Pierce and didn't move up to get Dirk? Euros are still softer.
The only guy I would have taken was Parker, because we had three first that year and it was worth the gamble.
Way to pick the best euros in recent memory. There is still a lot more great players coming from this soil.

Dirk and Pierce were the best two players in that year's draft. Most GM's would argue that Dirk had an overall better career than Pierce, more All Pro Teams, for instance.  But that is a false argument.  Based on your logic, you would have passed on Dirk to take any American player that year, and that is insane, my friend.

And your original point was that Porzingis was too skinny, yet you apparently are a fan of KG, one very skinny dude.  Try dealing with your original point.
Its a ? that we could ask till the end of time. Point is that PP was our blue collar, come to work everyday, never miss a game type of guy. He got stabbed almost a dozen times and came right back, he got hit by Amare and fell right on his face and broke his 2 front teeth and came back in the game, then played the next game directly after leaving the dentist. He was always our MVP even with the 1 1/2 years KG was his best with us. KG was almost selected MVP that year but he was not even the best player on the team.....we never heard a peep from Pierce.

He also never demanded a trade and stuck with us. I hope he comes back to be in the front office or scouting.

Yeah, numbers wise, you can make the argument for either Pierce or Dirk, but seeing him regularly for so many years and what he brought to this franchise even in bad times, Pierce is my all-time favorite celtic, I would take him 10 times out of 10 over Dirk with no hesitation.

Pierce demanded a trade if the celtics didn't trade for a big star. So we got him 2 of them to keep him happy.

He's mine too. I wish we had Ainge or at least a better gm before and after we had drafted PP. Pierce deserved better than to trade Joe Johnson away and mess up with all our other picks. I mean the horrible draft selections were amazing.

Yes it is. Before we traded for KG and Ray, his agent told the celtics that if they didn't trade for a star to put alongside Pierce, he would demand a trade.

Porzingis was VERY impressive in workout. A scout called him the best player in the draft "He's better than Karl Towns," said the scout.

Kristaps Porzingis did really well for himself today in Vegas - scouts saw a lot they liked. Some say may be best future pro in the draft

If you haven't already, make sure you watch our K. Porzingis workout video. It's impressive

Top 6 lock after this.  Interesting to see if Hinkie puts off player development another year. My bet is he doesn't and takes the top PG on his board even if Porzingis is BPA.

I would love to trade up to number 4 or 5 to pick this guy. I just don't think 16, 28 and one of our youngsters would be enough to get him.

Things are changing rapidly though. The ROY was Canadian. The 2 best players in 2013 were from France and Greece. This year you have Towns (who plays for the Dominican Republic), Mudiay (born in Zaire), Porzingis, and Hezonja all who will be going in the top 8. Next year the #1 overall pick will probably be Australian.
Add best prospects for 2016 draft are Haitian and Aussiee that recently came over to play HS.

Draft scuttle: Hearing Porzingis not only in play for Philly at No. 3 but now giving Lakers something to ponder at No. 2. Stock rising fast.

Yeah, I see no way of us getting into the top 5.

The only way is a huge sell the farm trade to NY if we can get Lyles at #16.

Lyles+Olynyk/Sully+#28+2016 Brooklyn pick and probably some second round picks for #4. Idk, anything except Smart, IT, and Crowder.

I'd sell high on IT and Crowder for the 4th pick. Especially since we have Marcus and next draft is covered with great 3's.
