Is anybody actually pulling for the Cavs

Because

They actually like them ..?.. ;D

Anybody outside of Cleveland ?

I predicted before game one Cavs would win series ......but I sure as heck was n't cheering for TEAM DIVA
I've lived in Ohio my whole life and I get why people don't like James, but why would anyone have a disdain for Cleveland or not want the city to win one.  Cleveland has the most bad luck with sports of any city in the country.  Always coming close and never winning.  I mean how can you not feel bad for the city.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I don't like the team ....I never said I didn't like Cleveland the City or you ......I can't stand the NBA Cavs ......does that make it so you can understand ?   I don't have to like the Cavs because you live there....

I think the Cavs HaVE the best team .......but that doesn't mean I have to like them ......does it?

Cavs should win......Bron is the best player

No need to be condescending.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

I feel bad for Cleveland.  Lebron screwed them and went to Miami.  Then when he comes back with the new Big 3, two of them get hurt.  Typical Cleveland luck.  The Browns couldn't win a championship and have been mis-managed for years.  Plus they have a rotten name and ugly uniforms.  Same story for the Indians who will have to change their team name soon due to overly-sensitive political correctness  The Barons failed.  And then there is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame which is a total joke (Grandmaster Flash, Donna Summer, Donovan, etc are IN but Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Cheap Trick, etc are OUT...'nuff said).  So, even though I think Lebron is a flopping complainer who gets all of the calls from the refs...I am rooting for Cleveland.

I'm all in on rooting for LeBron in this series.  It's going to take a Herculean effort (stat heads are calling this golden state team one of the 5 greatest of all time).  I don't see it happening, but I'm excited to see him try.

After seeing game one....  You're not the only one rooting for the messiah ...So is the NBA and their officials.  Even though I'd predict a sweep....Because of the officiating...Every game will be close.
I'm guessing you will conveniently forget about all the clear fouls committed by the Warriors on Lebron at the end of the game that weren't called by the refs. Really blatant fouls.

Refs miss calls. Welcome to earth.

Serious question.  If the Celtics of the 80's had the Cavs injury luck from this postseason, how many titles would they have won without McHale and Parrish, or Bird?
Mark Price is the current head coach of the Charlotte 49ers and a former American basketball player who played for 12 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), from 1986 to 1998. Spending the majority of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

You know, I've really gotten to respect their role players.  I started off watching these playoffs not wanting to root for them at all, but they have a lot of heart.  I really didn't like the Heat, I have no problem with the Cavs.

They did have the Cav's Injury luck...check 87-88 season McHale Parish & Walton. 88-89 Birds heel....

They almost won it despite the injuries in 87-88. Stupid Magic Johnson Bankshot....still angers me to this day...

I have lived in Ohio too, and I have hated the hype that surrounded LeBron.   I do not think a town ever deserves a title.   I do not think Boston did following the bombing, NYC after the Twin Towers or Cleveland for having bad luck.   Best team at the time deserves it.

A lot of Cleveland's bad luck is self inflicted by horrific management.   Cavs fans are a joke too, they only come when they are winning.    Boston fills the arena good and bad, Cavs fans fill it when they are winning.  Browns are the king of that city and always will be.

Mark my words, Hondo will be the guy from Ohio with the most rings, not LeBron, no way does he ever catch the eight rings that John got.

Average Attendance Stats courtesy of ESPN.

Cavs:
2010 (LeBron’s last year before leaving) – 20,562
2011 – 20,112
2012 – 15,926
2013 – 16,192
2014 – 17,329
2015 – 20,562

Celtics:
2010 – 18,169
2011 – 18,624
2012 – 18,624
2013 – 18,624
2014 – 18,107
2015 – 17,593

You would think that after LeBron left with some of those terrible teams Cleveland had that the attendance would actually be lower than what it was.  In 2003, the year before the Cavs would draft LeBron, they were last in the NBA in attendance, averaging right around 11,000 per game.

Hate to say this but if the Cavs were healthy, they would win it all
...

Hell, we would've three-peated but for all our injuries with PP/KG.

I agree with both statements, and I don't think there's anything wrong with fans being disappointed when injuries derail a championship season.  Whether it's Hondo or KG or Shaq or Perk or Rondo, it stinks seeing guys suffer injuries that create "what if" scenarios.

I feel for Cavs fans, and for Varejao, Love, and Kyrie individually.

I honestly believe we could've had 3, and probably even 4 championships

09 - if KG was not injured
2010 - if Perk wasn't injured
2011 - Shaq didn't get injured (was that also the year Wade took down Rondo's arm?)

Worth noting, of course, that in, say, 2011, the Celtics had 100% attendance and the Cavs only had 97%, because we'd hate to look at raw numbers in differently sized stadiums without any control for that, right?

...and if the queen had balls, she'd be the king (no, not that "king" :) )

Cleveland have had very friendly matchups, to be honest.  Boston and Atlanta are both teams with zero stars on their rosters and no real 'go-to' guy.  Those type of teams tend to do well in the regular season and struggle in the playoffs.  I predicted from day one that Boston would get lose in the first round and Atlanta wouldn't get too far.

The only team Clevleand played that was really a decent matchup for them was Chicago.

If Cleveland had have played a Healthy wizards, then they would have had a very tough time.   With their front court talent, their back court scoring, and Pierce as the dark horse...they match up very well against Cleveland.

I have to admit though, beyond Washington there were really any other teams in the East that were much of a threat to Cleveland come playoff time.
