Not sure that we have the assets to get both of them, unless IT and a pick would work straight up for Denver. I still don't think Sacramento will be open to trading DMC until they're inevitably out of the playoff race by January.

we finally agree on something.

as for the rumor, it's fine that we "want" all these guys that keep popping up in rumors. but who cares if these teams aren't interested? and from everything I've heard is Sacramento has no interest in anything we have and have no interest in dealing Cousins.

Both would be interesting...hm.

Yup and trade Smart  for a top five pick in the draft or for Cousins in some huge deal.

This team could really be totally different next year.......poor Brad.

Getting Cousins and Lawson would deplete a lot of our best tradable assets especially if we didn't take on some bad salary players ourselves.  However with those two, you'd hope that we could attract another star in free agency.

Getting Lawson wouldn't be hard.  Getting Cousins this offseason would probably have to start with him pulling a Sprewell on Karl.  Crossing my fingers that the Kings suck again next season and that gets them to put Cousins on the market.

Getting DeMarcus Cousins would be the tough part. I think we can swing the Lawson deal if we just smother Denver with picks and/or Isaiah Thomas. But nabbing DMC would take more than that. A lot more.

First off, I see no reason why SacTo would do this unless Boogie really wants out. Second, teams will have better assets to offer than us. If Cousins is on the block, Orlando can very well offer Harris, Vucevic and a pick for Cousins? that in itself is a much better deal than we can muster.

I would give myself a headbutt out of joy if we pull this off, but I don't think it's going to happen. There's just no enough to get DMC.

Well, seeing as this rumors comes from sources at NESN, I think they might have mixed up us trying to acquire Lawson to include him in a deal to the King's for Demarcus.
