When I began writing this proposal I thought maybe we could get a pick plus Bruno, the pick being in the 2nd round probably. But when I looked over TOR roster I saw the guy we drafted in 2013 lol. Lucas Nogueira is a long shot but has all the raw tools. 7', 7'6'' wingspan, 9'6'' standing reach, 220lbs, 28.4 standing vertical and 28 inch max vertical all from the 2013 NBA combine.

Bruno could end up being a very effective small forward. 6'9'' and a 7'7'' wingspan and just 210(but now 221).  IMO He could be a great 3-d small forward, with an emphasis on defense. But he could also be a star......or he could be out of the league.
He has a nice step back three and can shoot from way beyond the arc. I can't say for certain all the other things he does super well because he did not play in many games, even in the d league. IMO that is a big part why the Raptors want their own development team....we should have one of our own too.

His body type is that of Durant and the Greek Freak. He gained 14lbs during the season to bring him up to 221, Bruno may very well add more lbs for the beginning of the season/summer league.

Lucas Nogueira.
What can I say, its not like there are a lot of guys with his length.

Toronto is very high on both Nogueira and Caboclo. Why would they trade two guys with more upside for one with less?

Yeah, Toronto didn't reach on Cabocolo to dump him before he gets a chance.

Pass, I don't think Bruno or Lucas will amount to anything in this league.

Something leads me to believe your prediction will be proven right.

They are not a bad team at all, they just played bad in the playoffs, mostly bc of Lowry. Lowry played more when DD went out, according to KL that extra time wore him down.

Amir Johnson is a FA
Lou Williams is a FA

So they need a floor spacing powed forward and good reserves.

I've suggested a Bruno for KO trade on here a few times and people were usually very interested in it. It makes sense on a plethora of levels.

I guess adding Lucas changed the winds...interesting

I like the proposal and would do it if I was the Celts, we would probably have to include a couple of seconds for it (not 33 though).  Im just glad you didn't tie Turner and Upshaw into this idea, haha  ;)

I like the idea, I don't think Toronto would be so quick to give them up yet though.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

To do this, Toronto would have to make the call. Otherwise, it wouldn't ever happen.

Trade a cost-controlled, productive young stretch big man for a couple of foreign prospect mystery boxes who, in all likelihood, will never break into an NBA rotation?

Yeah, awesome trade idea.

We could have just drafted Caboclo or Hood last year if we wanted a solid prospect at SF instead we drafted a SF that is really is a big SG that can't defend.

We already traded Nogueira and a 2nd for KO on draft day, why would we now try to reverse the trade?
